Happy May!

It’s a new month, which means it’s also the wedding month for a fabulous couple. I’m so excited for this one!

Still on a high after this weekend! The brief from O&J was to bring the Irish countryside inside. So that’s what we did. Focusing on luscious greens and rich materials, with accents of burgundy and blush pink, created a sophisticated palette reflective of the landscape of County Kilkenny.

Tina from absolutely nailed it with the flowers and I can’t wait to share more of her work! We also designed a bespoke wedding stationery suite to create a cohesive design, complete with a venue illustration, a vine of Celtic knots and a couple’s monogram.

Just a gorgeous day all round!

Dare I say it’s felt a bit more Spring-like lately…? It’s reminded me of the very first shoot I did!

I’m conscious I’ve been quieter on here than I like to be, but our wedding season kicks off this month so things have been busy behind the scenes. Rest assured I’ve not gone anywhere and am very much still taking enquiries for 2027 (not 2026) so do get in touch if you’ve been thinking about it 🥰

With the sunshine over the past couple of days, I’ve been thinking back to this summery setup at where the colours reflected the landscape. It’s also got me thinking ahead to this year’s weddings, which kick off in March and I’m so excited!

I’ve missed the buzz of a wedding day and seeing all the designs and plans come to life. It really is an absolute highlight and seeing the happy faces of my couples and their guests makes the hundreds of hours of planning absolutely worth it.

It really is the best job!

I’ve been harbouring a little secret…

I’m so excited to say that I am expecting a little bundle of joy at the beginning of June 👶🏻

Having a due date in the middle of wedding season is less than ideal as a wedding planner…but thanks to an incredible team around me and very understanding and supportive couples, I’m pleased that all of my weddings will be unaffected.

It does, however, mean the following:
🌸 I’m not taking anymore 2026 bookings
🌸 I’m not taking any weddings in Jan-March 2027
🌸 I will be taking June and July 2026 ‘off’ (although appreciate that being self-employed means this isn’t really possible, so please allow extra time for email responses)
🌸 My 2027 diary for April onwards is open (excluding on-the-day coordination, which will open later in the year)

I’m very excited for this next adventure and want to thank my couples and fellow suppliers for their support so far. It’s definitely more challenging managing a pregnancy and newborn when you’re self-employed, but I’m confident we can make this work!
