British Flowers Movement

British Flowers Movement I'm here to champion and advocate for British grown flowers.

To do this I have created the British Flowers Movement (https://britishflowersmovement.co.uk) an online resource detailing whats in season and where you can buy British grown flowers. We believe that flowers are the perfect way to take care of each other and uplift spirits, and we want everyone to experience this. Whether it be a beautiful flower care package for a friend, family, colleague or yourself or desk flowers for your business and employees - we are here to help spread happiness, delivering directly to your door. We are now based at the Engine yard, Belvoir Castle every Thursday so come and see our range of flowers or order online and conveniently collect from the Engine yard.

Sometimes you come across people who really go above and beyond to help you. I think they should be recognized as such because when you are trying to build a business that level of support means so, so much.
A big shout out then to Steven and Paula from Floral Media and Helen from Helen: Florist Studio | British Wholesale | Flower School who have been superstars in helping me with their time, flowers and support.
They are incredibly hard working and real stalwarts of British flowers.
I’m so lucky to have met them as part of what I do.

If you are a flower farmer or grower, large or small then LET ME HELP YOU!

No costs, fees, contracts, upselling of any kind.

I set up the British Flowers Movement to simply do one thing.

To Champion British grown flowers.

I think its criminal that people are unknowingly buying million of stems every year that have been grown abroad and flown across the world to be sold here in the UK when there are more beautiful and scented flowers grown here without harmful chemicals and pesticides.

So I am making it easier for people to buy British grown flowers through my online directory of physical places they can buy as well as online.

I would love to include your flowers.

If you sell them via a farmstand, please tell me.

If you sell them at markets and events, please tell me.

If you sell them to retail florists, please tell me.

If you sell them to farm shops, please tell me.

If you sell them to other shops and places, please tell me.

I want to list all these places so anyone looking to buy flowers, can buy British grown flowers easily, quickly and locally.

We all want to see the British cut flower sector thrive, so lets work together. I’m here to make consumers more aware of British grown flowers and make it easy for them to buy them.

Please DM me or drop me an email (in Comments) and check out the website.

Thank you!

Elizabeth Honey

What’s the one thing you can rely on at Wimbledon to deliver every year aside from strawberries and cream?
The Flowers!
Designed to feel like you’re walking around an English garden, they are amazing.
Have a read of our article all about the flowers at Wimbledon – link in Comments. It is fascinating to learn what colour palette they use, their favourite flowers and how these are changing due to the weather, their love of hydrangeas and how you can create your very own piece of Wimbledon in your garden.
British flowers at their best.

A big shout to Manchester for such a fabulous welcome.

This was my first time at the Manchester Flower Festival and it was great. The weather was amazing and shone on us all weekend.

My big day was Sunday when I gave a talk on British Flowers “Brilliant British grown flowers – Love Them & Learn” - Be immersed in beautiful, locally grown flowers and learn why British grown flowers are brilliant.

Then onto workshops using flowers from south of Manchester thanks to Sarah from North & Flower for her beautiful flowers grown just outside Macclesfield, Helen from Evolve for the amazing peonies especially the Coral Charm peonies which absolutely stole the show and the deliciously scented apple mint from Kerryn and Tracey at Old Farmhouse Flowers.

In total 40 varieties of British grown flowers and foliage used.

Many thanks must go to all those involved in organising the flower festival and Mya, Adam and Vicky helping on the day.

Hope to see you again in Manchester for 2027 Manchester Flower Festival!

Big thanks to all those involved in making the day so fabulous at .manchesterbid

Chelsea in Bloom 2026 is under way!!! I couldn’t wait so I was there for Day 1.
Here is some of what you can see this year.
On now until Sunday 24th, there are over 130 displays with this years theme ‘Out of this World’.

To see all the floral displays you can go on a Walking Tour led by a festival ambassador, discovering your favourite floral displays and the stories behind them or go at your own pace and use the official map (don’t forget to download it) as there are no printed copies available.
Loads more images to come so if you can’t make it, you can see what’s popular this year.
Loads of white gypsophila (baby’s breath)
Blue very popular, especially bright blue hydrangeas
Much less statice this year
And of course, loads of British grown flowers. So good to see and speaking to the florists/designers, it is encouraging how many are supporting use of British.
