Well that’s a wrap for 2025 💥
We’ve had weddings , birthdays, anniversaries , Christmas dinners , breakfast meetings, village fairs plus much more .

A big thank you to everyone who has booked us this year , without you we wouldn’t be where we are today.

We’ve made some new contacts one of whom we have done many events for at Classicwise in Southwell and met some lovely people.

We have had the pleasure of working with Hey Foxy & Co at a couple of functions this year which has led to some interesting discussions about possible collaborations next year .

We have also catered at a few events at the fantastic Fairview Farm Log Cabins & Holiday Accommodation which always has a great atmosphere

I’d like to thank all my colleagues who have helped me through the busy year , Helen F , Helen G , Skye , Miya , Amelia BC , Sue B , Cameron , Nic W , without you it wouldn’t be as astounding as it is .

One of my biggest thank you goes to Mark of Bradbury's , you have helped me so much over the years , given advice, pushed me when I needed it , supported me and supplied me with fantastic quality food 🥰 thank you to your staff for putting up with me coming in like a whirlwind at times 😊

So onwards to 2026 may it be as much fun as 2025 , so merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all 🥂🥂

I honestly can’t thank Bradbury's for all their help and top quality food supplied to me over the years

The End of an Era

As many of you have learned, Bradbury’s has been on the market for a while now due to Mark’s difficult diagnosis. After 30 years at your service, it’s not a decision taken lightly, but the right one both to maintain the level of service you expect and to allow us some time as a family. We’ll take with us so many memories, and all of our digits… which is something to be said following a career spent wielding a cleaver.

It’s been a real honour to serve you over the years and a great source of pride time and time again, the highlights being named “Citizen of The Year” for Mark’s “services to the community” during covid and the many donations we’ve been able to offer to local schools, charities and FoodShare schemes. In return, we’ve been richly rewarded by the friendships that’ve grown with customers, staff and suppliers, the support of whom we’ve felt most keenly over the last two years.

The gratitude list is long with individuals who’ve contributed to the effort over the years, but we’d like to give special mention to familiar faces Wendy & Graham Norman, Kelly & Scott of Barlows Butchers, Rob Morris formerly RM Refrigeration and Kirsty Sisson of Born Limitless Business Growth, Sales & Acquisitions. All of whom have stepped in to save the day at one stage or another! The newest names on the list are Anna & Dave Nurse, who have given their word to build on Mark’s legacy and continue to ensure Bradbury’s remains a family-run business for the good of the whole community, paying particular attention to delivering the personal service you deserve. We trust you will welcome them with the same warmth you did us (and baptise them with the same banter!) It’s been a wait for the right fit, but with 30+ years of retail experience and a background in catering between them, we’re confident we’ve finally found the team to pick up right where we left off. We’re excited to see their fresh ideas take Bradbury’s onwards and upwards and wish them all the success in their new venture.

Thank you for bearing with us while we negotiate a Christmas handover... of course it would land at the busiest time of year! The shop remains open, business as usual, and we do have it on good authority that preorders WILL be back for Christmas 2026, Amen.

Last weekend we had the pleasure of catering for some good friends for their 25 wedding anniversary which was held at Fairview Farm Log Cabins & Holiday Accommodation . The had sole use of the site for the weekend. The new entertainment barn was put to the test till the early hours with a great bar supplied by Hey Foxy & Co. The guests were very complimentary about our food
