DO CHILDREN STILL HAVE TO LEARN THERE TIMES TABLES IN SCHOOL?
I have just been thinking this as calculators are everywhere now, and times have change, so here's a fun fact. The first hand held calculator was invented in January 1972 (year I was born) and cost an eye watering £395.00 which is the equivalent to £4803.00 today,
No wonder our times tables were drilled into us at school. Imagine a kid in 1972 saying to their parents at Christmas, please can I have a calculator, please please...... would be the equivalent of a ps5 today ! Lol 😆 🤣 😂

Sunday 26th July at Bestwood Lodge Come and enjoy an audience with Rick Sheehan, NOT for those easily offended, 3 hours of fun and laughter and some great singing, Doors open at 2pm, Rick on stage from 3pm till 6, doors shut 7pm.
The perfect Sunday, Beer, entertainment, and home in time for Countryfile!
Tickets Just £7.50 Per person for an afternoon you wont stop talking about.

CHANGES TO EVENTS AND NEW DETAILS!
As you are aware we have had no choice but to change a few dates, so this is the update for everyone.
There is no fair this Sunday, and never has been due to a booking at the Hotel. We have been offered 14th of June, but this depends on interest of Vendors, if you are Interested, please let me know.
Sunday 28th, There will be NO BIG EVENT, Due to the Hotel hosting a wedding
Sunday 5th July, will be a craft fair, and I am now taking bookings for that date, please message me if you are wanting to book
Sunday 2nd of August will be the next BIG EVENT and I will see if we can do another BIG EVENT on Bank Holiday Monday 31st.
So in short, Unless there is interest the next event will be 5th July, followed by 2 Big events in August.

Just out of interest!
I have just left our committee meeting, and we are looking at how to help our community.
If I suggested a day trip to Skegness, 6 coaches, and for the cost of £7.50 per person, would you be interested?

STALL HOLDERS PLEASE NOTE,
There will be no BIG event on 26th of June, and our next craft fair will be on the 5th of July, or next BIG, event, is to be discussed but may be pushed back to the 5th August. If you have any questions or just want to enquire why, please feel free to message me.

HELLO EVERYONE 😁
Just like to say a BIG thankyou to all who attended our pets and ponies day yesterday, It was a fantastic day and the weather held out beautifully. So many people to thank, but would like to start with Zoe's Party Animals who was amazing with all the children, and had them on the edges of their seats, we will defiantly book again. also all the vendors, especially Crafted crusts and Notts Kettle Corn who not only had fantastic food, but showed proper teamwork when setting up, ad helping other vendors set up gazebos etc. Also a BIG thank you to all the volunteers, who helped with the event and of course Bestwood Lodge and all there amazing staff who effortlessly mad the event run smoothly. and last but not least KR Bespoke Events & Occasions for their Beautiful balloon arch at the entrance of the hotel.
Once we Math the Maths, I will let you all know how much we raised for the community and where it will be spent.
