Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of supplying 5 cakes and 100 scones — including gluten‑free and dairy‑free options — for a charity very close to my heart as they celebrated National Volunteers’ Week and said a well‑deserved thank you to their amazing volunteers.

I’m so pleased to hear everything went down brilliantly. Nothing makes me happier than seeing people enjoy good food, especially when it’s for such a meaningful cause.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who support charities and who give their time, energy and kindness so generously. You make such a difference.

One of the best things about running a small business is the incredible people you meet along the way. I met Ali from Vintage Chic Event Hire
at a networking meeting and we clicked instantly — same passion, same work ethic, same love for what we do. We’ve become firm friends and constant cheerleaders for each other.

Last week she absolutely saved the day by loaning me some of her gorgeous vintage crockery for an event at The Feed (where I work alongside running my catering and wedding business).

The afternoon tea looked beautiful on her pieces — we had so many “oh how lovely!” moments as guests were served their tea and coffee. It made the whole setup feel extra special.
