SO excited to see Norwich Theatre partnering with City College Norwich! 🎭❤️

The Theatre Royal Norwich has been such a huge part of my theatre journey — I first performed there at just 3 years old, and later continued my journey through the Theatre Royal Arts Course.

I then went on to study Theatre Studies at City College Norwich, where my passion for theatre really grew — both on stage and behind the scenes.

To see these two places that played such an important part in discovering my love for theatre now working together is incredibly special. A real full-circle moment, and such an exciting opportunity for the next generation of theatre-makers! ✨

🌟 OUR FIRST EVER LAMDA EXAM RESULTS ARE IN! 🌟

We are absolutely bursting with pride after receiving our very first set of LAMDA results at Greasepaint today! 🎭✨

A huge well done to every single student who stepped forward, prepared, rehearsed, and performed with such courage, commitment, and enthusiasm. Whether it was Acting or Speaking Verse and Prose, each and every one of you should be incredibly proud of what you have achieved.

For many of you, this was your first experience of taking a LAMDA exam - stepping into the unknown, rising to the challenge, and sharing your talent with confidence and creativity. You have all shown such determination, resilience, and passion throughout the process. ❤️

Everyone at Greasepaint is incredibly proud of you all. Seeing you grow in confidence, find your voice, and discover the joy of performing is exactly why we love what we do. The results are fantastic, but what makes us most proud is the hard work, dedication, and bravery you have shown along the way.

With a mix of amazing Merits and Distinctions all round, your results are a wonderful reflection of your commitment and effort, and we couldn’t be happier for you! 🌟

So, so proud of you all. ❤️

I’m still completely in shock writing this…

Today I found out that I’ve been nominated for a Lifetime Achievement Award in the Arts at The Norfolk Arts Awards.

To even be considered for something like this feels incredibly humbling, and honestly very emotional.

My passion for the arts started at a very young age after joining the Norwich Theatre Royal Arts Course, and from my early 20's headed to the big smoke to undertake a Theatre Studies Degree with the Rose Bruford College. From there I began work as a Theatre Practitioner in London, before returning to Norfolk to have my eldest children, who were the inspiration for me to independently set up Greasepaint.

Greasepaint has been such a huge part of my life for many years now, and anyone who knows me knows how much I love what I do. Watching children and young people grow in confidence, find friendships, discover themselves and shine on stage has always been the real reward for me.

I feel very lucky to do something I truly love, and I’m so grateful to every family, student, teacher and supporter who has been part of the Greasepaint journey over the years. This nomination really belongs to all of us.

If anyone would like to vote, I’ve been nominated in Category 13, but truly, just being nominated already means the world to me.

Thank you for all the love and support always, Rachel ❤️
