✨ A Night to Remember at the Battle of Britain Memorial Hall ✨

Last night we had the privilege of hosting Flt. Lt. Colin Bell DFC BEM AE, one of the last surviving WWII Mosquito pilots, for an unforgettable evening of “Duty. Daring. Dignity.”

Organised by the RAF Coltishall Heritage Centre, the evening celebrated Colin’s remarkable service with 608 Squadron, where he flew Mosquitos on over 50 missions deep into Germany during the Second World War, based out of RAF Downham Market.

At over 100 years old, Colin captivated a packed audience with his vivid and personal stories of courage, resilience, and service during one of the most critical periods in modern history. His reflections brought the past to life and left us all inspired by the incredible sacrifices of his generation.

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Colin, his family, and everyone who attended and supported the event. The evening was a true testament to the enduring importance of keeping these stories alive.

We are honoured to host Flight Lieutenant Colin Bell DFC BEM AE, a WWII Mosquito pilot, at the Battle of Britain Memorial Hall on Thursday 28th August 2025.

✨ Duty. Daring. Dignity. ✨
Now in his 100s, Colin will share his extraordinary experiences flying low-level raids deep into enemy territory over Germany. This is a rare opportunity to hear first-hand from one of the last surviving RAF pilots of the Second World War — a living link to history whose stories continue to inspire generations.
