Many of you are ending summer engaged, enamoured and excited to start planning your wedding!

And what better time? As the nights draw in, there is plenty of time and space to start getting some first ideas and inspirations together.

But where to begin? Well, now is a great time to start that Pinterest board for starters!

You can also start thinking about venue - as this will likely be the first, major thing that you book. And you'll need to book with plenty of time in advance, especially if you're hoping to get married in the summer, or abroad.

These early days are also a really good time to start thinking about your priorities - what is essential to you as a couple? What is going to represent the both of you best? What will make your wedding truly unique and special to you?

And of course, now is the perfect time to reach out to your wedding designer! We can help you with all of these elements, from design and inspiration, to venue hunting.

My beautiful, recent couple enlisted Bake-Off Finalist Steven Carter-Bailey to make their beautiful wedding cake - and it was absolutely divine!

The cake was loved by all, and there was plenty to go around! Enough in fact, for the couple to have an entire tier to take home for themselves!

As August draws to a close, and September begins, we find ourselves savoring the beauty of late-summer celebrations. Soft golden light, garden tables filled with seasonal abundance, and the gentle shift toward autumn’s richness.

Each season brings its own poetry to weddings, but there’s something about this transition that feels especially magical.

I am busy prepping for my final weddings of this summer, and already looking ahead to my beautiful Autumn events and I truly cannot wait for every one of them.

Preparing for your first meeting with a wedding planner is an incredibly exciting time!

But it's not always easy to know what you need to prep, or ask! Here are just a few of my tips on how to make sure you get the most out of your initial meet.

✨ Bring your vision, not perfection
You don’t need a full Pinterest board. Just a feeling. A color, a season, a place you love. I can then help translate that into your event.

✨ Be honest about priorities
Whether it’s guest experience, design, or location share what matters most to you. It helps me shape a celebration that truly reflects you both as a couple.

✨ Have a sense of your guest count and location style
It’s perfectly fine if nothing’s set yet, but a rough idea helps guide the conversation around venues and flow.

✨ Ask anything
This is your space to feel supported. No question is too small or too early! I'm here to help clarify and guide from the very beginning.

✨ Trust your instinct
Connection matters. You’ll be planning something deeply personal. It's important you to feel not only understood, but truly cared for.

One of the most important things I take into consideration when planning my couples' weddings is - do they get enough time for each other?

Often, brides and grooms place so much emphasis on their guests that they forget to consider themselves in the planning process.

That is why I'm here - to make sure that we include time for those special moments just the two of you, whether that's for your portrait photos, on the dance floor, or somewhere secret away from everything.

Finding the right wedding planner isn’t just about who’s “the best.” It’s about who’s right for you—your style, your values, your way of celebrating.

Here are a few things to look for:

Do their weddings feel like something you’d love or something you’d scroll past? The right planner will instinctively understand your aesthetic (and elevate it!)

Choosing wedding favours that won't be left on the tables...

Like many of us, I love a wedding favour. Not only are they an opportunity to show your guests how grateful you are to them, but they are beautiful, treasured memories that - if done right - will be kept or talked about for years to come.

So how do you choose the right wedding favours? By making them personal. A live illustration artist, giving each of your guests the chance to take home a hand painted portrait of themselves perhaps. Or, a packet of seeds - flowers your guests can grow, and nurture well after the wedding.
