We’re excited to have Meat Castles join us on the Saturday of the Food Festival! Meat Castles was founded by one man with nothing but a sheer love for burgers. Starting in 2019, he travelled the country blogging and judging burger joints. Fast forward to 2024, and he has been featured in The Times, received acclaim as the best burger by chefs, and secured a nomination at the National Burger Awards. We’re so excited to have who are one of the hottest street food traders coming out of London right now, bringing you American BBQ with a Caribbean twist straight from the heart of a half-American, half-Jamaican culinary genius. Rack City will be trading at the Junkyard Market Food Festival on the 24th-26th August, Bank Holiday weekend, with their tender ribs cooked over traditional Jamaican oil jerk drums! Straight from the streets of Seoul comes the ‘K-dog’ – the fast food that went viral on TikTok! 🙌

Imagine this – a sausage or mozzarella cheese on a stick wrapped in batter – deep-fried to give it an enticing, golden-brown crisp shell, then drizzled in a sauce like ketchup, mayo or mustard. You take the first mouthful, and the melted cheese oozes and spills over your tongue – pure heaven in your mouth we say. The ‘K-dog’ has massively increased in popularity over recent years!

Local legends The Bucket List join us at the Junkyard Market Festival! 🙌

The Bucket List started back in 2017, part time on Overstrand Beach, with Head Chef Nathan Boon of a nearby hotel always wanting to start his own business. Nathan felt like this was the gap in the market he had been waiting for with the idea being inspired from long days in the kitchen and combining any of the fresh sauces or recipes that had been created, with the ever versatile chip to feed himself and the kitchen team. Combining that with a couple of trips to Europe, experiencing the emergence of street food markets.
