We all know there is alot more to horses then we can see. They are exceptionally sensitive to behaviour, body language and patterns. They can easily sense when an individual acts differently. This is Ella and her little sister. We visited them on Sunday. I have never been in the presence of somebody so extraordinary. Ella is blind, she has got septo optic dysplasia which is a rare condition that affects 1 in 10,000 babies. Despite this, she is super sweet and so kind.
Shadow, on the other hand can be a little fidget when there is no grass. As you can see, we were on artificial as this is best for Ella. This pony did not move an inch! He knew.. he knew there was something different about Ella. I was so impressed with his behaviour, and ability to find this social cue that nobody could tell him. Ella you were amazing, listening to you explaining and talking about everything you were doing. It made my eyes water several times. Ella is welcome to come to our yard, whenever she pleases! Whenever she needs a pony squish, absolutely whenever! γ
