Happy St. George's Day from Dragon Hall ๐Ÿ‰

Our remaining Dragon presides over all weddings at Dragon Hall. It is made of carved oak, still completely intact, with it's original colour staining and guilding. There were almost certainly carvings in the other spandrels, but only this one remains.

It is thought that Robert Toppes may have chosen to adorn the hall with dragons due to his connection with the Guild of St. George, although dragons were also popular in Norwich iconography at the time.
