Line-up announcement! 😍🎶😎 George Pennell's journey into trance began long before he ever stepped behind a pair of turntables. After hearing a TV advert for a dance compilation in 1998, he was instantly hooked on trance and was soon spending his paper-round wages on records from a record store in Stoke-on-Trent.
The following Christmas, at just 13 years old, he received his first turntables and mixer. What followed was years of digging through records and honing his craft, exploring house and hard house along the way before returning to the sound that first captured his imagination. Trance has remained his musical home ever since.
Having started DJing in his early teens, George later immersed himself in the UK's club scene, becoming a regular at events such as Godskitchen, Passion and Digital Society. Influenced by artists/ DJ's including Paul van Dyk, Nu NRG, Matt Hardwick and John Askew, he developed a style that blends uplifting breakdowns, driving basslines and dark, tech-infused energy.
2026 has been a landmark year. Alongside appearances for Digbeth Rewind, Motion's Rubic, Rave Cave and Captivated Summer Sessions, George also co-founded Eclipse, an event brand built around old-school values, intimate line-ups and extended sets that allow DJs to take listeners on a genuine musical journey.
Whether opening a room, building momentum or closing out the night, George approaches every set with that same philosophy, taking listeners on a journey, whatever the role. He has assured us that for this appearance, that philosophy will stay the same, delivered entirely on vinyl from a collection he has been building, preserving and digging through for nearly three decades.
