It's the final day of the Historic Equitation Legendary Joust at Bolsover Castle!
We have Jack from the Silly History Boys Show fooling today, whilst Will does the compere role!
Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer have done an amazing job of explaining the career options open to medieval musicians!
The skill at arms show is fantastic!
History's Maid have a fantastic story about the worst methods of ex*****on in history....particularly brutal is the story of the first person convicted of high treason, Dafydd ap Gruffudd!

It's much better weather for the Legendary Joust at Bolsover Castle, and we have had the glinting on the armour of the various re-enactment companies.
Historic Equitation have shattered many lances this morning, and the Wildman came out on top, who will win the 4pm Joust?
Tom Fool is fooling, whilst the Silly History Boys Show Will's excellent compering is keeping the crowds entertained.
Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer are doing a fantastic job of introducing everyone to mediaeval instruments.

Dawn is at Framlingham Castle where the weather has been a little better than Simon has had at Bolsover!
The Warwick Warriors are putting on their fantastic Knights' Tournament, whilst the Silly History Boys Show are providing the foolery, and Stephen Yeo comperes the event!!

It's a bit damp at Bolsover Castle where the Legendary Joust is in full swing!
Historic Equitation are shattering lances, Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer have their excellent mediaeval music show, whilst History's Maid are talking about the 5 most gruesome methods of ex*****on! The Silly History Boys Show are keeping the crowds entertained as Tom Fermor is fooling around and Will is compering the whole event!

This view means we are on our way home from the Isle of Wight and Carisbrooke Castle.
It's been great to support an excellent event with GreenMatthews, What A Palaver, DPH Events, Time Will Tell Theatre, Raphael Historic Falconry, Tactical Medical Rescue and Griffin Historical.
After 2 weeks on the road, it's fair to say we are looking forwards to our own beds and a lie in!!!

It is hot, hot, hot at Carisbrooke Castle today!
Simon Kirk from Time Will Tell Theatre is doing a great job of reminding everyone to drink water and slap on the sunscreen!
DPH Events have another fantastic skill at arms show and joust for us
What A Palaver continues to add more heat with their fire show!
Raphael Historic Falconry have their usual superb falconry displays.
The superb GreenMatthews continue to serenade us with their mediaeval musical instruments and songs. Our favourite is "Mirie it is" which has lots of crowd participation!

It is possible that some of the performances and displays may be subject to change due to the heat today.

It's another baking hot day at Carisbrooke Castle! Simon from Time Will Tell Theatre is reminding everybody about sunscreen and hydration!
The birds from Raphael Historic Falconry are using the thermals to great advantage!
GreenMatthews are doing a fantastic job of keeping everyone entertained with mediaeval music and explaing the history of the instruments!
What A Palaver are so good they can do their fire show standing on their head!
DPH Events have an excellent lance shattering display of jousting!

We're at a very hot and sunny Carisbrooke Castle for the Legendary Joust and skill at arms by DPH Events. There's also Rob with the What A Palaver fire show, and GreenMatthews are providing an outstanding mix of interactive mediaeval music.
Raphael Historic Falconry are involving the audience in their falconry displays!
Simon Kirk from Time Will Tell Theatre is compering the event. There is also much confusion in the PA tent when someone asks "Where's Simon??"
