To get the best tulip blooms…
Plant at the right time, they need a period of cold for best results, I planted 21st December.

Best bulb size, go as big as you can, these were 12+

Water in periods of dry weather, we’ve been spoilt rotten this winter😂

Other benefits when you choose to buy local are best selection of bloom, tightly closed in bud stage for best longevity, NO CHEMICALS involved, it’s a bug eat bug world here in the field 🐞🐛
Strong sturdy stems, huge flower heads, a variety of unusual colours not only on the outside but also inside the petals themselves.

A SNEAK PEAK!

My first 3 Salmon Van Eijk tulips have been pulled!!
I couldn’t resist and gifted them…
Planted 21st December much later as the weather was mild, they needed a cool period to develop a beautiful flower.

I’m hoping by the weekend they’re ready for market, if you’re near Creaton, Guilsborough in Northampton you’re in for a treat!
