Why we are asking for your views -
The Forum is preparing a major capital funding application to Arts Council England’s Creative Foundations Fund to support the long-term future, resilience and sustainability of the building.
The proposed project represents an investment of approximately £589,000 and would address important parts of the building’s fabric and infrastructure, including replacement glazing, roof insulation, electrical infrastructure, solar PV and battery storage, building management controls, fire escape works and associated improvements.
This is a significant opportunity for the Forum. If funding is secured, it would enable a coordinated programme of improvements at a scale that would be extremely difficult for a community venue such as ours to fund from its own resources.
Why your feedback matters -
Arts Council England needs to understand not only what works are proposed, but why the investment is needed and what difference it could make to the people and communities who use, support and work with the Forum.
Whether you are a volunteer, audience member, performer, hirer, community partner, local resident or someone who otherwise engages with the Forum, your experience can help us demonstrate the venue’s cultural and community value, the challenges associated with the current building and the potential benefits of investing in it.
