Another live performance ran through some AI mastering. I'm still getting the hang of it, but it's best when you don't let the AI choose the mix. Instead, I isolate each track to touch them up individually.

Here's another archived live tune we never released due to poor sound quality or sub par performance. I know AI music is a very contentious issue these days, but I can say I am entirely on board with AI tools.

The splitting and mastering tools on Bandlab allow us to take mono recordings that were just too poor to release, isolate vocals, guitar, and stems, and effectively polish a musical turd into something worth sharing. Of course it doesn't fix shortcomings in the performance, however, a proper mix can make an ok performance a little more ok.

I'm not weighing in on AI Music Creation, but I'm happy to get behind tools that help actual musicians.
