Great vibes in the pub tonight as we kicked off THREADS! A huge thank you to everyone who came along and special thanks to Emma and Robin for stepping in and providing some fantastic music. 🎶

Did you know..? We have our very on Black Swan Book Club! It meets on the first Thursday of the month, the Parlour in the pub.

📚 Book Club Update from Gillian
At our June Book Club, we discussed Still Life by Sarah Winman, a novel spanning WWII to the 1970s that explores art, friendship, family and love.
While not everyone had finished the book, most were keen to keep reading. Members particularly enjoyed the well-developed characters, humour and evocative setting of Florence, though some felt the novel could have been shorter and that the art references were occasionally overwhelming. The descriptions of Italian food were a definite highlight and made everybody feel hungry!
Our next meeting is on Thursday 2 July at 3pm in The Parlour, where we'll be discussing Raising Hare by Chloe Dalton.
New members are always welcome to join.
