⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING INCOMING - CHILD ONLINE SAFETY ⚠️
So I just want to pop a little post on highlighting something which we both as a business, and a mother, completely back.
In the day and age that we live in, with various forms of social media giving access to the ins and outs of every day life, and opening the window in to a much more transparent world than what once was, it’s a great tool for communicating with others customers, reaching out to new audiences, and putting our business on a platform that reaches far and wide.
Unfortunately as wholesome as this can be, there is some people in this world who exploit the beautiful family moments which can be shared, and use images in a much darker world than the one we wish for our little ones.
With the growing use of AI, it’s very easy for some random person as close as next door, or as far away as the other side of the world, to simply screenshot a picture of anyone’s face, and twist and contort that in to something which can be used for some truly awful purposes.
We get that some families are careful, only sharing on social media to a select group of people they’ve accepted, which is absolutely great. However unfortunately you just don’t know how well protected they are when it comes to technology and the capabilities of online criminals and let’s face it, complete sick wierdos.
It is for this reason, we never share photos with your little ones in. At point of set up, of course we take some pics to share for our social media, but please don’t be offended if we ask you to grab your excited little one for a few mins whilst we finish up, as we simply do not want to put them at risk by being featured in any photos we share.
This isn’t because they aren’t the cutest thing ever, I fact it would be wonderful to show their happy little faces absolutely loving life using our equipment, but it’s simply to protect them.
And I as a mother, would 100% rather this be done, rather than sharing for the sake of a few extra likes and to help that f*ing algorithm.
Thanks for listening to my Ted talk on our safety protocols and we hope to see you soon - just not in our photos ✌🏻
