FLOWER AVAILABILITY:
Flower Stand @ 10 Lincoln Road: Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 9am-1pm.
Hykeham Pop-up Market @ village green: Sunday 9am-2pm

It’s feeling a little too autumnal for me at the moment. I’m definitely not ready for the changing of the seasons and the inevitable slowing down of the flower patch.
So I’m going to ignore it and hope the sun comes back.

Flower stand out today until 6pm, and tomorrow 9am - 1pm

Featuring a few of these gorgeous China Asters. I’m particularly enjoying the mid blue (which I didn’t think to take a photo of), this is apricot.

Busy day today. Taking photos this morning to update my direct to florist newsletter, then hiding from the sun this afternoon to catch up on emails and admin.
This flower is Bracken Ballerina. An absolutely beautiful dahlia that my photography does not do justice to. I haven’t included many dahlias in buckets and bouquets so far this year but we’re slowly getting there now and hope to feature more of these soon.

The Flower Stand will be out tomorrow Friday 8th from 8am-6pm.
We are also trialing Saturday mornings, so flowers will also be out Saturday 9th 9am-1pm

This mornings quick pick in the patch for a gift.
I’ll also be making some modifications to the flower stand today. It’ll be out as usual on Friday but we are also going to trial a Saturday morning opening this week 9-1

A few pictures of what’s looking good in the cutting garden at the moment.
1) Cosmos have started to churn out blooms. This variety is called Purity, but we’re also growing Dazzler, Apricotta and Kiiro.
2) The Rudbeckia look incredible and are climbing up my list of favourites. We have Cherry Brandy (lovely red) and Sahara (lovely mix of yellow, caramel, dusty red delightfulness) and just visible at the back is Marmalade (yellow).
3) Craspedia. I tried growing these last year with mixed results so delighted these seem to have found their stride
4) Just a little view of part of the cutting area. I refuse to currently take a photo of the other side as it’s half dead ready for some beds to be cleared and replanted.
5 and 6) Annual Scabious varieties Salmon Queen and Fata Morgana. These are such productive plants and the bees absolutely love them. I love how these look in Jam Jar arrangements

Very excited to be attending our first market next weekend. We’ll be at the Hykeham Village Pop-up Market 9-2 on the 27th July.
