Great day at Innerleithen contest today, gold award and first place for our learners band playing with Loanhead . We always enjoy our day at Innerleithen contest.

The Newtongrange youth band and learners will be back after the holidays next Thursday 21 August in Newtongrange band hall. 5:30 to 6:10 for the learners and 6:10 to 7:00 for the youth band. If any youths or adult learners would like to join us all welcome

We are holding an open night on Thursday 22 May in Newtongrange Star Football Club starting at 6:30. It is mainly for learners who have started to play brass instruments in p6 at local primary schools however, we are also happy to support people who are keen to learn a brass instrument. You might have played in the past and want to get back to playing or you may be a complete beginner.

The band are heading to Perth this weekend for the Youth Championships, we are playing in the intermediate section with another 9 bands. The kids are looking forward to playing at the concert hall which will be a great experience for them.

Band is back tomorrow ,beginners 1730 to 1810 and junior band 1810 to 1900. If you have played a brass instrument or percussion in the past and would like to join a band or if you would like to learn come along and speak to us.

The junior and learners bands have a concert tonight in the function suite at the Dean Tavern. We also have some learners from the local schools coming along to play some music with the learners. Concert starts at 6:30 all welcome

The junior band will be playing in the Dean Tavern tomorrow along with the Senior band as part of the Gala Week. 7:30 start
