A seal, a €10 note, two rescue cats and a whole lot of grá… 🦭🐈🤍

Not your typical wedding story, but then again, Rachel and Irial were never going to have your typical ceremony!

At the beautiful Riverbank in Killanny, we celebrated a love story filled with adventure, nature, laughter and a little bit of Irish magic.

From three very lucky omens during their engagement (including a surprise appearance from a seal!) to a heartfelt ring warming ceremony, every detail had a story to tell.

There was handfasting, beautiful wildflowers, Gaeilge woven throughout and even a special message from Woody and Willow, the couple’s beloved rescue cats, who unfortunately couldn’t make it on the day. 🐾

Agus sin é, what I love most about being a celebrant. It’s the little things, the inside jokes, the unexpected moments and the traditions that mean something to you.

Because no two love stories are the same, so why should two ceremonies be?

Míle comhghairdeas, Rachel agus Irial! 💚

Grá, gáire agus neart craic!

What an honour to stand beside the newly married Amy and Oisín after their beautiful Anam Cara ceremony at Tullyveery House | Wedding Venue NI 💚

Every detail held meaning. Fire was represented by a candle, earth by soil from each of their gardens and wildflower seeds, water by a sip of w**e, and wind by their first kiss as a married couple.

There was Celtic handfasting, Gaeilge woven throughout and a particularly special ring warming by Oisín’s grandmother, Bridie, 90 years young, who filled their rings with good wishes, wisdom and golden pieces of advice.

They finished beneath rose petal confetti, chosen as a special nod to Amy’s mother, Breda.

Their lovely message afterwards meant the world:

“Nóra, you are a wee gem in this world. Your unique spirit and beautiful soul made our ceremony so personal and wholesome. We are eternally grateful.”

Go raibh míle maith agaibh, Amy and Oisín, for trusting me with your wonderful day🍎

What does a truly personalised wedding ceremony look like? 🍏💕

It’s more than adding your names to a script...

It’s telling the story of how you met, remembering the proposal exactly as it happened and making room for the people, traditions and memories that matter most to you.

For Helen and Mark, that meant their love story, a remembrance candle, family anniversaries, handfasting cords filled with personal meaning, words written by their niece and a beautiful blend of English and Gaeilge throughout.

The handwritten notes, last minute changes and little reminders in my ceremony book are all part of it too, because every ceremony is written for real people, not created from a template.

Lán le grá 💕

Your story. Your way.
