Lots of scenario-based training for our lifeguards and surf coaches this week 🌊⛑️

With a special appearance from and their trainees, our candidates had the opportunity to practise the full casualty journey: from incident management and emergency calls through to casualty handovers with the emergency services.

These realistic scenarios help develop the communication, decision-making and teamwork skills needed when working in dynamic coastal environments.

A huge thanks to the Nomad Risk team for helping make the scenarios even more realistic.

Our next training Course runs from 1st–5th June in Cornwall, with limited spaces remaining.

We also have spaces available on our Surf Coach Rescue & Surf Coach Safety Courses (2nd - 4th June)

This course is designed for anyone wanting to:
• Work as a beach lifeguard
• Become a surf or watersports instructor
• Improve water safety and rescue skills
• Build confidence in real coastal environments

At Vertical Descents, training goes beyond simply passing an assessment.

Lawrence joined us for his NVBLQ Beach Lifeguard course in Cornwall and absolutely smashed it.
