Hello to all of our lovely new likers and welcome to our page! Here we love to share photos of our Wedding & Events floristry, but first, we thought it was about time we introduced ourselves 💕

So, who are we?!
Coastal Floral Design is made up of the perfect Auntie/Niece Combo! After closing her retail shop (Kelly Ann’s Flowers) in 2018, Kelly has gone into partnership with her talented niece Kayleigh so that they can work together creating beautiful wedding & events floristry all across Cornwall 💐

So that's it then... Kelly Ann's Flowers have closed down after 26 years in Newquay town. Thank you so much to all of our lovely customers who have been in to see us, dropped off beautiful cards and a huge thank you as well for the lovely gifts (we're going to need a good knee's up for these bottles 😂).
Although it's been an emotional day, we are looking forward to our next adventure with Coastal Floral Design and we can't wait to enjoy more time as a family!

*** IMPORTANT NEWS - PLEASE READ ***

As you may already know, I have made the very hard decision to close Kelly Ann’s Flowers on Saturday 17th November 2018. Unfortunately, I’ve had no joy in selling the business, so the family & I have now decided to close the business to co-inside with our lease ending on our studio in November. This has not been an easy decision, but after 26 years I have now realised it is time to focus a bit more on my family and spend time with my mum and my grandchildren.

Kayleigh and I are going to continue creating wedding flowers for clients as this is what we really love to do, but under a new business name ‘Cornwall Floral Design’. We will not have premises or be carrying any stock at our home-based studio, so unfortunately we will no longer be able to make gift work.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the brilliant support you have shown us over the many years of us trading as Kelly Ann’s Flowers. It really has been such a pleasure to have you all as customers.

Thank you so much to the lovely Emily for sending these over from her wedding at the start of August. Such a gorgeous colour scheme, and the flowers have been captured beautifully by the talented Nick Walker Photography ! We LOVE seeing how all the planning and ideas come together on the day!

We’ve made quite a few foliage bouquets this summer but this was our first with absolutely no flower (usually we have a couple of heads). Using gorgeous succulents meant we could still have a focal point in the bouquet and perfect the shape, even without including anything floral! The smell from this bouquet was divine and the mixed greens & textures stand out beautifully against a white dress 🍃 🌿🌱💚

“Uneven, loose style” to compliment a dusty blue, maroon & white colour scheme, and we LOVE IT! Every bouquet we make is personal to that couple, and this bouquet even included a purple flower in memory of the Groom’s mum 💜

Last week was the wonderful Brad Bodinnar & Jenna Bodinnar first anniversary, and we can't believe it's been a year already (happy anniversary to you both!!) We loved creating these gorgeous arrangements for the lovely couple and it really was such a beautiful theme. The talented Ross Talling captured the day perfectly.

No edit needed for this gorgeous bridal bouquet for the lovely Leah last weekend! Leah chose a beautiful natural garden look which meant we got to use our favourite White O’hara Roses again, along with a mixture of soft pastel pinks, blues and whites 💕💙💕

WOW! Such gorgeous and tall hydrangea! They’re even as tall as our little helpers! (No hydrangea were harmed in the making of this photo - we quickly removed them from the crazy kids! 😝)

Did you know it takes around 8-9 years for our growers to create and perfect a new rose variety?! That means hundreds of thousands of seeds and plants are grown and tested, with a very very limited amount being grown to perfection, ready for distribution. This is why we always appreciate our growers for working so incredibly hard to make such beautiful flowers for us to use 💕 Rose pictured is a White O’Hara Rose - a beautifully fragranced soft rose with a gorgeous pink hue.

As Florists, we definitely appreciate all things nature has to offer, and that definitely includes garden plants 🌱! We cannot believe how incredible this Dahlia from Kelly’s garden is, even with all the crazy weather we’ve had recently. Isn’t it beautiful?!?

We absolutely love this colour scheme which has been super popular this summer. Gorgeous soft pastels with an added ‘pop’ of pinky/coral by using the beautiful Miss Piggy Rose 🐷! One of our favourite roses and not just because of it’s name! 🌹
