Read that again. 🤍
Let’s talk about ‘Entourage Fatigue,’ because it is incredibly real and it’s the number one thing I see steal a bride’s joy.
I get it. You’re engaged, you’re excited, and you want to share this magical milestone with your mum, your mother-in-law, your five bridesmaids, and your favourite auntie. It sounds like a movie moment, right?
But here is a little expert truth-bomb for your Sunday: Too many opinions will drown out the only voice that actually matters, yours.
When you have six different people looking for six different things, a few things happen:
👉Auntie Sally dislikes the modern slit.
👉Your Maid of Honour is pushing for the sparkles she loves.
👉Your mum is getting emotional about a completely different silhouette.
And suddenly, you’re trying to choose a dress that makes everyone else happy, instead of the one that makes you feel like the most elevated, authentic version of yourself.
Your first appointment isn’t about pleasing a crowd; it’s about figuring out how you want to feel on your wedding day.
My most successful, stress-free brides usually bring just one or two trusted VIPs, the ones who know your style inside out, who will cry when you cry, and who will let you speak first. You can always bring the rest of the crew to your styling appointment later for the big reveal!
Your bridal style should be a reflection of you, not a committee decision. 🩶
