It’s been a little while since I properly introduced myself around here…
And after an absolutely incredible year at Tide the Knot Wedding Planning, alongside a lovely influx of new followers, I thought that was probably a good enough excuse for a little re-introduction ✨
So, hello, I’m Jess, the face behind Tide the Knot Wedding Planning.
I’m a wedding planner, stylist, creative, professional problem-solver, and the person behind the laptop, WhatsApp messages, moodboards and very long to-do lists.
Since launching Tide the Knot at the beginning of 2022, I’ve had the absolute privilege of planning and styling more weddings than I could have imagined, working with couples from all over the globe to create celebrations that feel completely, unapologetically theirs.
This year has been particularly special. It’s brought more weddings, bigger celebrations, new venues, brilliant suppliers, plenty of early mornings and late nights, and so many wonderful couples who have trusted me with one of the biggest days of their lives.
We work with those couples who don’t necessarily want to follow the traditional wedding rulebook. Who want their wedding to feel like an extension of who they are, rather than a formula they’ve been handed. Who are open to thought-provoking design, unexpected details, whether that’s through bold colour combinations, interesting textures, unconventional styling or simply doing things because they want to.
For me, the most exciting weddings are the ones where you can look around and instantly know whose wedding you’re at.
That’s really at the heart of Tide the Knot: thoughtful planning, considered design and elevated experiences, all while making sure the couple remains at the centre of it.
I’m very lucky that the SW little corner of the world is both home and a constant source of inspiration.
