Through Hip Hop culture, young people will:
Learn exciting new creative skills.
Build confidence and self-esteem.
Develop teamwork and communication skills.
Make new friends and strengthen peer connections.
Improve their mental and physical wellbeing.
Discover the history and values of Hip Hop culture.
Led by experienced local Hip Hop artists, each session combines fun, creative activities with opportunities to develop resilience, emotional regulation, friendships, and a sense of community. By providing positive activities during the summer holidays, the programme helps reduce isolation and gives young people access to trusted adult role models.
Parents, guardians, and family members are welcome to attend. While the workshops are designed for children, we want to help build stronger family connections and grow a thriving Hip Hop community in Newport.
OTHER EVENTS:
Join us for 11 days of FREE Hip Hop events across the school summer holidays in Newport. Our sessions include Breakdancing, DJing, and Graffiti (Street Art) workshops, all delivered in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for children aged 6–12.
All events are led by local Hip Hop professionals and are designed to be engaging, inspiring, and accessible for everyone.
