If you care about the impact your wedding has on the environment then choosing local suppliers whenever possible is a great start in reducing the overall carbon footprint of your big day.

For flowers, Consider using a local grower such as in Merthyr Mawr (pictured here).

Another local grower is the fabulous too.

Both highly recommended.

Hi all, If everything goes a little quiet here over the coming days, please be patient. My mum sadly passed away a few weeks ago and her funeral is next week. I’m dreading it.

If anyone has any advice on how to navigate through these coming days, I’m all ears. 😞

For those that have lost a parent too, apologies if this post is triggering. I wasn’t going to say anything here but felt I needed to.

We have an absolute stunner of a wedding on the blog this week! You may remember Alice and Morgan from a Cwtch of the Week posted a couple of months back but today we have the full detail of their big day!

It was a very original and inspiring 70’s theme put together by the girls helping to bring Alice’s vision to life and boy did they do it well 😍

Run by the well-known photographer, Maria Farrelly. Cwtch The Bride launched in 2013 with help from some beautiful brides (past, present and future) and a selection of wedding professionals. Our aim was to become the definitive wedding blog for all things Welsh :) With thanks to our dedicated readers, local wedding suppliers and the numerous industry awards we’ve won over the years. Cwtch The Bride has now established itself as the leading go-to place for planning a Welsh Wedding.

Our annual wedding Festival, CWTCHFEST has also become a firm favourite with our readers. A spring day full of inspiration and great fun that features giant Tipi’s, marquees, Stretch tents, Our main exhibitor area with over 60 leading wedding suppliers, live bands performing, DIY workshops, street food, pop up bars, entertainment and much more! Everything you see showcased at Cwtchfest is bookable for your own wedding.
