I've spent most of the day locked into a wedding planning meeting with my lovely clients who have a 150 guest wedding coming up in just over a month.

I know that if you are fairly new to my world this will come as a surprise that I am in fact a wedding & special events planner (have been for over 20 years); although this role is very limited right now.

I don't do many weddings now, because over the past 5 years or so, my main focus has been creative confidence & visibility mentoring. It's an area of business I've been called to do at this stage of my life and it inspires me every day.

But today, I completely submerged myself in the logistics, the layout plans, the supplier discussions, and loved every minute of it! I wrote copious amount of notes ( I love pen and paper so don't come at me for not using an electronic device! 🤣), took lots of pics & videos; plus asked the detailed questions that always get forgotten if you are not working with an event expert like me. Can't wait to get stuck into the notes and connect all the dots with all the suppliers so everything fits seamlessly on the day.

Yes. I'm one of those weird people that loves the chaos of pulling all the the random pieces together! And I'm good at it too!

It's Saturday.

Everyone's breathing a sigh of relief that it's the weekend. But you are planning a wedding. So what does the weekend mean for you?

You can remember getting a couple of emails from suppliers and one of them had some important questions you had to answer, so you really need to dig those out......which day did those come in again? Also you've got another venue visit scheduled so you can refresh your memory of all the limitations. To be honest, this is a worry because there appears to be little flexibility now that you've had a chance to look at the fine print of the contract.

Then there's the invites. You think you've made a decision on the design, but you are not sure what to include in the wording. Didn't the supplier say she needed this information by the middle of next week?

The catering needs to be finalised but you are just not 'feeling' the choices that you've been offered. Is it best to go for the buffet or the table service?
