✨ 𝓑𝓮𝓪𝓽 𝓽𝓱𝓸𝓼𝓮 𝓹𝓸𝓼𝓽 𝓦𝓮𝓭𝓭𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓑𝓵𝓾𝓮𝓼!

We’ve all heard of the baby blues, but did you know that post Wedding blues is a very real thing? When your Wedding is over and all the dust has settled, it can creep up on us very unexpectedly and understandably so! Take note of these 5 useful tips for banishing those post Wedding blues!

✨Ask your guests to add their favourite memory of your Wedding day when they’re signing your guestbook, so that you have snippets of your day to read back over which may include details that you had missed during the day while you were floating on your marry cloud.

✨ Make sure you have plans after your big day! No honeymoon? No problem! Make sure you forward plan at least one date day/night per month, eg- movie night, gig, dinner date, cooking together, ghost hunt, theatre, games night, whatever you like to do together, book it in ahead of time and give yourselves something to keep looking forward to!

✨Talk about how you’re feeling to friends and family members who’ve had weddings before. They may be able to tell you what helped them move past these feelings. It’s always good to know your feelings are normal and totally valid.

✨Take up a weekly hobby together. Set yourselves a new challenge! Ever fancied learning a new language? Pottery? Salsa dancing? Cookery? What better time to find a new skill than with your newlywed partner in crime.

✨Prioritise self care. Take your meds and or vitamins. Have that bubble bath. Whatever keeps your head happy, do it. Whether it’s a walk, a gym session, an early night or a whole bar of chocolate with a good book. If it makes you happy then it’s definitely a positive!

✨Remind yourself that no more Wedding planning means you will free up a LOT of time to do other things and in turn will relieve a lot of stress. It’s not always a negative thing having less to do. Reward yourself for planning the kick ass wedding of your dreams with plenty of rest and reminiscing by looking back at photos, reading your guest book and of course, more time for just the two of you 🖤

✨ 𝙏𝙊𝙋 𝙏𝙄𝙋𝙎 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝘽𝙀𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙋𝙃𝙊𝙏𝙊 𝘼𝙉𝙓𝙄𝙀𝙏𝙔!

It's FINALLY here - the big day! All the planning, all the waiting....but hang on...OH HELL! I HATE HAVING MY PHOTO TAKEN!
We get it, and honestly, we hear it all the time. . So here are some tips to reduce and hopefully banish that icky photo fear!

✨ 𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙖 𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙤 - Of course style is important but if anxiety is something you struggle with, we highly recommend booking a photographer you can identify with. You are spending all day with this person, you might even see them more that your partner on the wedding day so they should DEFINITELY make you feel comfortable & confident!

✨ 𝙑𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙨 - A follow on from above but you'd be surprised how many people feel like they have to keep their fears & feelings bottled up. Talk to your photographer about how you feel, or even better have a practise with them (more on that below).

✨ 𝙎𝙖𝙮 𝙉𝙊 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙨 - Sometimes it's not the photo itself, but more the pressure and lack of privacy that can only be social media! These days everyone has a camera phone, but not everyone can take a flattering photo (yikes!) You can ABSOLUTELY request that your wedding photos are not shared on social media! Both from your guests AND your photographer.

✨ 𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 - Seems a bit backwards I know..."photos are my nightmare, why would I want to do more?!" But this is a great way to work with your photographer and come up with an approach that works well for you. You get to know each other, they can learn how you are as a couple, your likes and dislikes and you can compare the experience to the outcome ahead of the big day itself!

✨ 𝙆𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤 𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 - Know that at the end of the day, this is your wedding. Made up of your unique and personal decisions. If you feel that couples photos are REALLY not for you - no one is forcing you. There is no obligation. Perhaps consider video to capture the highlights of your day or even a content creator for a more informal approach.

💆✨ 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙚𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨...

1. 𝘿𝙀𝙇𝙀𝙂𝘼𝙏𝙀. You’ve chosen your wedding tribe for a reason. They’re the ones you’ve been able to count on since day one. Use them wisely! These guys aren’t just good looking aisle accessories, they’re here to help you with your planning from beginning to end. Get them to help you find the suppliers they know you’ll love! Do this again closer to the time for jobs on the day, put someone in charge of making sure each area is covered. This will allow you to make the most of every part of your wedding day.

2. (𝙆𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙖𝙨 1, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙞𝙩𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛) ask suppliers to contact a member of your party on the morning, instead of you. Give all suppliers a few different numbers of people who you’ll be spending your morning with, so that they can be on phone duty for the day and you can focus on being present.

3. 𝙂𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚! Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to plan your Wedding. A year or two is ideal as you’ll have plenty of time to start reaching out to venues, suppliers and friends and family ensuring you can lock in dates with your dream vendors and give family and friends plenty of time to plan being available for your big day. It’s never too early to start enquiring and booking!

4. 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙢 𝙤𝙗𝙫𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙙 𝙗𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝙞𝙩. Keep everything in one folder together. Whether you like digital files or a good old ring binder, every invoice, confirmation, payment you make, receipt you receive, put it in a folder. This just makes everything SO accessible and easy when dealing with finances and timings. Definitely one of the easiest ways to ward off stress with simple organisation.

5. 𝙒𝙚’𝙫𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙞𝙙 𝙞𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣. Let your vendors work out timings themselves. They do this every single day. We are here to make sure your day runs as smoothly and effortlessly for you as possible. We’ve got your back!

The Corn Exchange on Newport’s High Street is a 500-capacity live music and performance venue, giving bands and performers a large capacity venue in the city – and providing South East Wales with a mid-size venue.
The space is also available for commercial use such as weddings, celebrations, corporate events, conferences, and other such large-scale gatherings, offering a new and unique space in the city centre for events of this nature.
The Corn Exchange is also the wonderful venue we have partnered up with to host the next LE WEDDING FAYRE - THE BIG ONE! Aligning with our vision and ethos!
We are so excited to be one of the excellent events happening in this awesome and iconic space and we highly recommend checking it out for your wedding celebrations! (They have the biggest disco ball we've ever seen!)
