Simple effects can create stunning costumes... here I have layered several different decorative lace fabrics, on top of the brocade which glint and catch the light on stage. The slashed sleeve- with contrast bias bound edges- is also pretty great!! 😍

I've just received another lovely package of zips from Zipper Station and thought I'd share the link to buy here. There's some great colours, at 80cm long they're excellent for Dames, and they're buy 2 get one free, so as far as I'm concerned a bloody bargain!

Good evening!
I have a question but it's a bit long winded so bear with me... As many of you know, my day job is making costume for film and tv (I've worked on things like Cruella, Mission Impossible, The Little Mermaid, Willow etc etc), however; because of the writers strike in good ol' America this industry is very volatile right now and I'm thinking of expanding Tangled Stitch to pay the bills.
I understand you'd still like the patterns but I have a trusty band of costume makers and we were thinking about making costume or even set pieces for Panto, to open a Panto Costume Shop, but for the more mundane items..
My question is... what stock items would your company buy like this? We were thinking anything from Crinolines, Petticoats, Padded Bra and Hip Pads, maybe full Dames, ensemble, Breeches, comic shirts, shirts in general, waistcoats, cravats etc etc but I wanted to know if there would be a market for this before getting too excited.
I'd say we would be interested in essentially doing limited "runs" of things in multiple sizes but I'd love to get an idea of what, year on year, you'd like to have access to.

Well, I've looked at your votes and these 3 patterns will be released 1st!!
I've started already and I'm really, really hoping that I'll have them ready to start releasing at the end of February!! I'm working on 3 different TV shows at the same time (for my bread and butter!) so bare with me!!
I'm also working on some really interesting tutorials and quick tips so watch this space!! ❤️❤️❤️

I'm working on a cheeky little tutorial and freebie pattern for this clever little headdresses to be released alongside my new Aladdin themed patterns. Much excite in the Tangled Stitch house... and a lot of sequins!!
