Miskelly Barn Dance

Miskelly Barn Dance Miskelly Barn Dances, Square Dance or Cèilidh, have been well known in Northern Ireland for decades

Miskelly Barn Dances have been well known in Northern Ireland for decades. Originally based in Lisburn, Doreen Miskelly started calling Square Dancing back in the 1970's and later Husband Alec joined Doreen to form 'The Misks'. Today, Marc continues the family tradition and you can be sure he has been taught everything he knows by Doreen herself who still keeps a watchful eye over proceedings.

'The Misks' barn dancing, set dancing or square dancing or Cèilidh, was rather unique in Northern Ireland and indeed throughout the UK as very few musicians have the skill to be able to play the music live on keyboard and call the dancing at the same time. Using well known local tunes and now with a few more added with a 'modern twist' a fun night is guaranteed. Today, we offer ideal fund raising opportunities, parties, wedding receptions, corporate entertaining, church groups and many more. Have a look in our testimonials section showing some of our recent dances.
