Mr. and Mrs Muckett are such a lovely family who always looked out for me during my time working in Switzerland. 20 years later, when they asked me if I was available to work on their daughter's wedding, Yes Yes. :) I am so delighted to be able to play in a small part of this lovely journey of Silas and Sydney's wedding. Can't wait to share the rest of the story captured on the day.

It's a wonderful feeling to come back to Paris for a pre-wedding photoshoot for this lovely couple.

Paris is not only known for its rich history and beautiful architecture, it is also known as the 'City of Love'. This reputation originates from the Middle Ages when wealthy lovers frequently travelled to the city to exchange vows.

I was tidying up my documents today and discovered an old, beautifully hand-written letter.
20 years ago, I was a young student working part-time for what was Odeon cinema at the time (now Cineworld) at The Gate, Newcastle.
One evening, an elderly lady, looking rather anxious and worried, approached me and asked about her handbag that she left under her seat after she watched "Catch Me If You Can".
It had been about an hour since the film ended. I accompanied her to the seat where she sat during the film, and discovered that her handbag was still there. She was instantly relieved and eagerly offered me a monetary reward to which I politely declined.
I did not think too much about the incident, until a week later, my manager called me into his room. I was not sure what to expect. Then he handed me this letter, smiled and said 'well done, you did our cinema proud'.
I am very grateful to Mrs Taylor for taking the time to write this heart-warming letter.
I recently discovered this quote: I am grateful not because I am happy, I am happy because I am grateful.
I hope you feel the same, and wish you all a wonderful week ahead for all the things that we can be grateful for. ❤️

Love ❤️ is... dressing up together and having fun.
I was privileged to be the wedding photographer at this Game of Thrones-themed wedding. It was such a unique wedding where the couple and their guests dressed up as if they were in medieval times, and everyone got to enjoy a sumptuous and delicious Elizabethan Banquet where we ate with a dagger 🗡️. Thank you to my couple Kate and Jon for being so generous and kind, for treating me to the unique meal.
For this image, I turned it into black and white. What I like about black and white images is that they bring focus to the subjects (couple) and emotions. I hope that the audience gets drawn to the couple on the right and the emotions of the guests on the left.

Thank you to all my friends and previous clients who have supported my work, the Pandemic has had a huge impact on my work, which I depended a living on - no travels across borders, lockdown, no tourism, meant... no work.

Now things are slowly picking up again. Yesterday, I received a booking for a pre-wedding photoshoot in Lugano, Switzerland and today I received a booking for a wedding in Newcastle later this year. I am really excited to get busy with photography again. Sad but true, the lenses have been collecting dust in between the photoshoots.

To friends and families celebrating Chinese New Year, I would like to wish you a year of good health and prosperity. Happy Chinese New Year of the Rabbit 2023!
