About 12 years ago got me a job helping to create a bit of a PR moment in the shape of a foliage garland installed across the entrance of the Maggies centre which was to be cut to mark the opening instead of a ribbon. It caused me considerable stress at the time but all went smoothly.
It was so nice to be invited back to create florals as their new extension was unveiled today. I feel like extension isn't the right word, especially as it feels it has always been there. New wing? Beautiful interiors, furnishings, art, gardens and staff. So much thought and consideration has gone into creating these warm and comfortable spaces for those affected by cancer and their friends and family.
