If you are joining us for FLOCK in the Grainger Market, here's some helpful bits to know!

The performance is taking place on Alley 4, next to the French Oven and Oliver's Cafe Bistro. The nearest entrance is opposite Eldon Square Tesco Express on Clayton Street.

The show is approximately 45 minutes long with no break. Due to the nature of where we are performing, there is no seating so please do consider this. We think the time will fly by though!

There are ongoing works taking place in the Grainger Market meaning that the nearest toilets are in Eldon Square - please do consider this when planning your trip to see us!

Please do not take pictures of the performance - this is due to young people being involved. There will be professional photos circulating in the next few days for you to share.

We look forward to seeing you!!

FLOCK is a young people’s project about coming and going. It celebrates the North East and asks the question, ā€˜why are we the place that people leave behind?’

Created with young people across the region with Rosy Cheek, the piece is a culmination of music, movement and the words of the group.

You can find out more info and book a space to watch at the link below. FLOCK is Pay What You Feel so that we can continue to create exciting projects for young people!ā¤ļø

A ginormous, heartfelt THANK YOU to everybody who has come along to a Rosy Cheek January Project event! We’ve swam, walked, seen sunrises, passed parcels, shared food and had drinks & done yoga, all in the name of bringing people together at a difficult time. I hope there is so much more to come.

Time for a short break and then let’s figure out what the next chapter looks like!ā¤ļø

Coming up this Saturday 18th January, we have a yoga session at Dance City at 3pm, led by the fantastic Dora Rubinstein.

Some more info about Dora below:

Dora has been practicing yoga all her adult life and is inspired by a variety of different yoga styles and movement practices. Her classes are alignment focused, helping you to stay stable and strong as we stretch. You’ll also be given lots of visual cues and use props to help build up your proprioception and mind-muscle connections. Depending on the class focus, you might be led through nerve glides or physiotherapy style exercises, or circus-style strengthening drills.

During our session at Dance City, we’ll do a gentle full-body stretch, focusing mostly on commonly tight areas such as shoulders, upper back and hip flexors. We’ll also incorporate breathwork and guided relaxation. The session is open to everyone regardless of experience, injury or health conditions - just make sure you take a moment to let Dora know before the class if you have any injuries or conditions to consider.
