University of Sunderland students have taken immediate action to help with the humanitarian crisis, following the Turkey-Syria earthquake of February 6 with fundraisers and collections.

Shahi Foods was established in 1984 by Khalid J Bhatti. They specialise in Pakistani, Indian and Bangaladeshi food, growing from a frozen food supplier to a catering business under the leadership of Khalid’s sons Rizwan and Farhan. Shahi covers the North East region and have worked with national and international charities, local councils, universities and many more.

So whilst we have been quiet at Shahi Halal Caterers (our catering side) we have been in the kitchen practicing & perfecting some new dishes for our Frozen Food range‼️

Coming soon...

Aloo Gobi - an old restaurant favourite side dish consisting of Cauliflower & Potatoes.

Aloo Muttar - another classic that we have recreated in our way consisting of Peas & Potatoes.

Gajar Halwa - yes we finally have a dessert‼️ A classic if you have ever attended asian functions...Carrot Halwa (not a carrot cake)

We now have in our range...Starters, Mains, Rices, Naans, Side Dishes & Dessert...😲

So following Government guidelines caterings have been postponed further until 15th August...we will be following closely to see what the decision will be on the 15th August as this could be changed.
