Firstly, many thanks for those many people visiting the page looking for news of the Dapper Social 2027, in response I thought I should post an update to you all.
I have, after much thought decided to take some time out and as such there will be no event this year. For those of you who organise events or have been involved in organising events, you will understand just how much work goes into this. I have spent pretty much 8 months of each of the last three years working flat out to put the Dapper Social together and it takes its toll.
The Dapper Social has always been such a great event with so many smiles and great memories and for that I would like to thank each and every one of you that attended, we raised thousands of pounds for men's mental health charities so well done to you all.
I had hoped that we might build a smaller North East version of the London Bike Shed show, linking with the DGR was a natural and perfect fit, but it brings huge organisational challenges.
Looking forward I would never say never, but the venue and willing volunteers is the make or break of the event. If anyone knows of somewhere that can easily take free parking for 500 bikes and have room for an indoor event of bands and trade stands then please private message me, who knows what the future might bring.
In the meantime to all of you, ride safe and Stay Dapper!

Hi, I just wanted to say thanks for all the comments, emails and PMs with kind words and support. It is very heartening to read these and your words and messages are very much appreciated

Also thanks to the alternative venue suggestions, unfortunately the Dapper Social is a major undertaking that requires some unique requirements to fit in all the attendees, bands, trade stands and of course sufficient parking for the DGR finale. Unfortunately venues that can host it all are few and far between in the Newcastle area.
I had thought we had cracked it and this year was really lined up to be something special its such a shame it is not to be.

Once again my thanks to all of you for your support.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - PLEASE READ

I am desperately sad to announce that Anarchy Brewery has, out of the blue, informed me that they are no longer willing to stage the Sunday part of the weekend event and as such the Dapper Social charity event is simply not viable.

We had so many challenges to overcome this year from the withdrawal of sponsors, to the moving to a new venue to accommodate the two day event. Unfortunately we simply do not have the time, money, or indeed the energy to overcome this latest blow and find an alternative venue for 2025.

I would like to thank all of you who have supported us with their enthusiasm and good humour. I can only apologise and express my deepest disappointment that the brewery have taken this decision. They are well aware of the consequences of their actions to this charity event, but have gone ahead anyway, despite tickets having already been sold and posters printed.

Refunds will be made to all those who have purchased early bird tickets, but please bear with me as we sort through the process.

I am very proud of the events that we have managed to stage, raising so much money for some great causes as well as raising so many smiles on the way.

Once again many thanks for all your support and my apologies for having to break this bad news.

Its here! The Dapper Social 2025, Bigger Better more Dapper!
Delighted to announce that we have a great new venue, more live music, more retail stands and we will now be hosting the start and finish of this years Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride (DGR). All in aid of the Movember Charities.

Our new venue is the Magnificent Anarchy Brew Co. join us for a weekend of Dapper Style, great food, live music, retail stands and great beers.

Saturday night we will be hosting the annual Dapper Do, a brilliant night to let your hair down, get that tattoo you always promised yourself and hair trim for that Dapper Style! Plus we have live on stage, music from the brilliant, Alf Hill, Bicker, and Romeos Pistol.

Sunday afternoon join us at the Brewery for the finish of the DGR, with some great street food, some cool tunes amazing classic and custom motorcycles and the chilled vibe of the Dapper Social. Live on stage we have the great sounds of Alf Hill and the fabulous Jonny

Earlybird tickets now on sale @ Eventbrite, so what you waiting for? tell your friends, family and work colleagues and join us for the event of the year and help us raise as much money as we can for the Movember charities!

We will be bringing some great new innovations to the 2025 event and we now have space available for a few additional quality traders, we are also looking for volunteers to help with the organisation.
So if you own a business, work for a business or know of a business that can help us grow the event, or, as an individual you would like to help promote the event or help on the day with bike parking etc.

Hi everyone!
So the dust has settled on what was a fantastic weekend, and I am delighted to announce that because of your amazing support of the Dapper Social Weekender event, we raised £5,810 to go to the DGR charities, a magnificent effort, smashing last years total! 😀
I just wanted to say a big thankyou to everyone that helped make this such a wonderful event, Triumph Newcastle for their headline sponsorship and unstinting support, Master Debonair , The Beresford Arms - Whalton and the The Holly Bush Inn for the generosity towards the Raffle and Auction.
The Triumph Owners Motorcycle Club NE (TOMCC) for their sponsorship and also providing the weekend staffing for tickets sales, raffle and parking.
The food vendors, Gourmet Burger and Fire and Dough, and the trade stands, GC Customs, Osbidian Ink and Rebellion Barber Studio. The Lou Ross Band who kept us brilliantly entertained, Tyne Bank Brewery for being such amazing hosts and finally to all of you for supporting this mad cap idea!

A special mention too for all of you that bought weekender tickets and came along to the Friday evening 'Dapper Do' as well as the Sunday and kicked the whole thing off.

So once again my thanks and now we know what we need to beat next year!😁

Hi everyone, I have just got back from Triumph Newcastle where we have just carried out the Dapper Social Raffle draw, congratulations to all the winners! and a huge thank you to all that bought a ticket but did not win this time around, good luck to you for next year!
Huge thanks to Triumph and also Master Debonair and The Beresford Arms - Whalton for their kindness and generosity in donating these fabulous prizes. To all the winners congratulations once again.
