Preparation is key - as very few people wake up on the day of their wedding and roll out of bed ready to walk down the aisle. There’s so much that goes into making sure everything looks polished, straightened, suited and booted, and it’s all worth it for the end result! 💅

Here we have Emily and her squad preparing for the day, and looking radiant! Followed by Chris - the dashing groom - having the pleasure of a first look at their daughter Callie. As you can see he was incredibly proud, this is exactly the type of heartfelt moments I like to capture on video 🥰

I was going to join the latest trend and alter the flag to say something quirky that relates to my business.

But in all honesty, the actual message is beautiful:

" WHEN THE POWER OF LOVE BREAKS THE LOVE OF POWER, THE WORLD KNOWS PEACE"

Read it a few times, and let it sink in.

My understanding of its meaning - The more we care for and look after one another, instead of trying to outmatch and conquer everybody else, the better off we'll be.

There's a lot wrong with the world, and sadly the reality is it's never going to improve drastically anytime soon.

But I feel if everyone were to adopt this tenet into their lives, we'd all be incredibly happier, better functioning as a society, and a fulfilled world. Then again, maybe I'm naïve lol

Did you know? - the quote was originally spoken by William Gladstone, a British Prime Minister from the late 1800's, who laid it down on the track to a sick beat as:

"We look forward to the time when the power of love will replace the love of power. Then will our world know the blessings of peace."

Hello you beautiful people, it’s time for a little life update from Elysium Films

Last week I got a wedding film finished and delivered - the couple were over the moon with it, which honestly never gets old. That feeling is everything. 💜

Then last weekend, Katie of Unite Club and I headed down to Ripon, we were running The Sensory Shuttle by Unite Club at This Is Me - a music festival run by Ohana - Supporting Special Families dedicated entirely to SEND children, parents and families. We brought down sensory and fidget toys from Katie's partners SENDelight Gifts and Tilda 3D Prints to sell on their behalf, and the response was incredible - non-stop people coming to have a look and a go. What an atmosphere. And scorching! Safe to say we both caught the sun a little bit ☀️

We took a few extra days afterwards to explore North Yorkshire - visiting Brimham Rocks and Fountains Abbey respectively, both were stunning! My only regret about the trip is that I didn’t get many more pictures 😬

Since getting back, I've been deep in the process of working through my Autism and ADHD assessment/diagnosis - which is emotionally and mentally exhausting. It takes up a lot of headspace. If you’re going through or planning to go through the same process, I would encourage you to set aside plenty of time for yourself. Because now I’m a bit frazzled, but on the right track 🧠

Looking ahead - we’re planning to go see Toy Story 5 tomorrow which I’m super excited about (but not as excited as Michael) :D. I have some weddings lined up, some promotional work, as well as helping UNITE Club with running HAF sessions and FOUR (yes you read that right) Neurofests. It’s gonna be a busy summer! 😅

Despite the busy summer, I still have some space in the calendar over the next couple of months. And I’m taking bookings for 2027 & 2028, if you’re in need of a for your own wedding, business promotion, or event, get in touch and let’s have a chat! 😁
