It’s been a pretty but busy week out front and behind the scenes on many levels but you’re here for the flowers so here are a few highlights from my iPhone on the bench and out on location.
Lots of locally grown flowers this week embellished with a few special ingredients.

First up for Emma who married Chris on Thursday - a beautiful soft floaty buttermilk palette at Silchester Farm (more professional photos anon) the perfect backdrop to their beautiful wedding day.

Then back home to some elegant and floaty summer vibes for a ladies day corporate event in the Berkshire countryside. Delicately floaty florals in watercolour pastels and white.
And finally for Grace, who married Jonathan today - a virtual hand held meadow of wild styled flowers in pretty pastels with a smidge more intensity in colour and texture with buttercups and quaking grasses as well as pretty pansies.

Rain definitely did not stop play flower friends; happiness cannot be dampened by a little much needed rainfall (How very British)!
See you next week, it’s another busy one!

Flaming June: I bloody love it !

All the Abundance, proper summertime, longest days and let’s face it everything and everyone looks better, feels better is just more EXTRA in June.

Here’s a few snippets from 2025 plus a few bonus memories from 24.
From our take on the hanging gardens of Babylon vibe for Lulu & Rae at Loft studios NW10 to quintessential English landscapes & stately homes in delicate pastels for Sophie and Huw at Englefield House then there was the HOTTEST day of the year for René and Ollie in the Cotswolds - who somehow appropriately co-ordinated their florals in hot pink and orange!

It’s always been my philosophy at The White Horse Flower Company to create unique, unscripted floral recipes, no premeditated and pre ordered flower combos, I prefer to put all my faith in the serendipity of the moment. Which is exactly what I’m doing this week with three gorgeous events being tee’d up.

June 1st, I’ve seven fabulous weddings this month and I’m absolutely raring to go!

Let’s be having you June 🫶☀️🫶☀️

With thanks to the team - and for being the co florist crew in the carousel 🫶👌🙌🙏

A Quiet understated woodland wedding in Wiltshire.
Just a snapshot on the bench before they were all delivered.

Simple, seasonal flowers to complement the relaxed informality (thank you )

Pink and daisies were S’s favourite colour & flowers.

Tied with a drop of pink silk ribbon

Et voila

Add in unseasonal 30° temperatures and a bank holiday and that dear reader is all you need to know! Nowt else to say except you’ll find me in the garden planting out scabious, cosmos and zinnias, watering them all in before there’s another pesky hosepipe ban!

As you were... embracing a relatively quiet working weekend ahead of a scandalously hectic June.. L x

May
A brief hiatus on admin enabling me to catch up on my ordering, consultations and proposals before I roll up my sleeves once more and crack on with morebeautiful weddings this merry month of May.

Swipe left as I take you through May and the myriad of possibilities- to colour up or to go neutral ? That is the question! With the hedgerows bursting with cow parsley I completely get why one might choose such a whimsical aesthetic but equally, carry on scrolling and maybe I can sway you to add a splash of colour?

This week I’m beguiled by pink and white - campion and cow parley are everywhere as I walk the dog along the lanes, it’s absolutely beautiful!

Anything but listening to the dire news. Anything I tell thee!

It’s been a busy bank holiday of weddings, workshops and funeral flowers. Today (Tuesday) I’m just preparing for another 1:1 workshop tomorrow and then I’ll be back in the office writing quotes for the rest of the week.
As I delivered a beautiful scented farewell display this morning I was asked if I’d had a good bank holiday weekend, I replied it was certainly no holiday but just a busy weekend of work - not that I was complaining, this is after all the season for weddings and gatherings and all things floral.
Here’s a glimpse of the BH long weekend of work - a beautiful bouquet for Amy who married James on Sunday. Purples with pops of orange - gorgeous geums and ranunculus added such a vibrant touch to the otherwise purple and lavender flowers.

Teaching and enabling others to go forth and make pretty is another aspect of TWHFCo. Sharing the floral love as I like to call it and that’s what I did yesterday afternoon with Lydia & Karen who came to make a loose ethereal trailing bouquet in readiness for Lydia’s twin Hollie’s wedding a couple of weeks. We had such a productive afternoon and they left with enthusiasm and confidence as well@as three hand tied trailing bouquets.

This spring has really got into its stride and I’m looking forward to many more beautiful flower filled days over the coming months.

If you fancy booking in a 1:1 workshop with me, please do get in touch.

June 2026 edition of Good House Keeping Magazine has a whole page article written by me all about arranging flowers. 🌺
The request from the journalist was timely as it came just as I was finalising a workshop for a morning workshop/ class (call it what you will) creating table arrangements. I’ll provide the vessel and all the mechanics and ingredients - all of which you take home with you.
Now it takes more than a bit of flower arranging to be a florist just like it takes a bit more than cooking dinner to being a professional chef but for those florists who want to improve their fine skills and practice some arranging as well as watch me as I show you how I make a table arrangement, then go on to demonstrate how I make much larger pedestal arrangements, this workshop is for you.
Florist, wannabes, jobbing florist or flower enthusiast, all are welcome at my workshops.
Best bit is that Honesty is also providing a delicious lunch for us too!
I’ve been arranging pedestal and table arrangements for 25+ years and they are some of my favourite arrangements to create as a working event florist. I know all the pitfalls not to mention all the skills to create some show stopping pieces.
I’ll be sourcing my ingredients as much as I can, locally too so it will feel as close to the season as could be possible!

It’s going to be a fabulous morning and I’d love you to join me.

The last day of April and what a gorgeous day it has been.
A gorgeous spring palette of pastels.

That’s a wrap for April 2026, it’s been a gorgeous month of weddings. May bank holiday beckons and I’m back on it this Sunday.

Thanks to for being my co-pilot today and to the local flower farmers & who enable me to create beautiful bouquets, great work team.

Just a little glimpse from M & M’s wedding flowers yesterday.
Megan wanted bright colourful bouquets sprinkled with daisies, her favourite flowers, which looked super pretty against her stunning off white gown she wore and her maids wore mint green dresses.

Whilst I could’ve shared images of the broken arch installation, I consider bridal bouquets so much more interesting and essential to every wedding - large or small. So here’s a couple of photos alongside the maids posies. I do love how every time I make one, there’s another variation especially when relying largely on what’s growing locally. Thanks to kimberly fleming ~ the marlston farmgirl for the tulips narcissi, anemone and ranunculus that went into these and the table flowers and to Headley Flower Garden for the butterfly ranunculus and for the sweet peas et al.

I love spring as much as I love autumn, it’s that first flush of home grown blooms, the tulips, anemones, ranunculus and blue bells, true seasonal delights in a riot of look at me colours. I can see the spirea has almost finished flowering but the lilac is just about to bloom. Huzzah!

I’m back in the office as I type getting on with outstanding proposals and will be back in the studio with my third of four April weddings next weekend.

Happy hump day, or should it be wedding Wednesday? Who cares - (not me)!

Yesterday the sun shone brightly and if ever there was a day to be marrying in April 2026, this was it dear reader. The blossom was in full bloom and finally here was a warm sunny day and clear blue skies where I overheard guests almost bemoaning the heat!
Abi and Pete hit the jackpot Wasing Park Wedding Venue because everything came together on the day - the flowers were on point too, locally grown tulips, anemones and ranunculus meant there was no requirement for a single rose - thanks to an abundance of spring flowers too beautiful not to miss.

Looking forward to three more weddings this month here in beautiful Berkshire.
