Hi all, I am Teea, the wedding planner at Specialising in alternative styles such as Gothic, Pagan, movies themes and mixed themes (like bit of goth and a bit of boho).

Something super exciting is happening here at Garnet Weddings Ltd. 🤩

As you know, I am passionate about planning unique alternative weddings with a focus on YOUR personality and your vision.

I have just booked myself onto a Master Celebrant Course with the . This means I will be training as a Wedding, Funeral and Naming Celebrant.

Why do this?
I love bringing joy to people and helping you celebrate life in ways that resonates with you.
As a I get to help you create a wedding day (or weekend!) that is true to you.
To support you even further, I am training as a to curate a unique ceremony that embodies your personality, your love and your dreams.

Why funerals and namings?
It is simple, the same way that weddings are often perceived as white and formal, funerals and namings are often perceived as stereotypically formal events. Becoming a and allows me to create a personal ceremony that embraces your vision and has the freedom of delivery.

What sets me apart from others?
Being an alternative person myself loving Metalmusic, Videogames and Gothic aesthetic makes me unique in my offering. I would absolutely LOVE to celebrate the arrival of Baby Bats into this world as well as allowing a funeral to be a celebration of life rather than the "end".

This is probably the most "raw" post I've written since starting Garnet Weddings Ltd. Read on to learn more about why I started my own business.

Social media makes business life look so glamorous, polished and perfect, but it ain't all that in real life!

Weddings on social media were always white and formal, which gave me the "yuck" feeling. I started Garnet Weddings Ltd to help alternative couples plan their weddings to represent themself and have the day THEIR way.

I have come to realise that that isn't the only reason I started my business. When we had kids I had an identity crisis. Suddenly wearing whatever fit me like a huge pink shirt I hated, but it was comfy so it had to do. Navigating new life as a mum while trying to have time for myself let alone get back to working life, which btw is so difficult when the recruiters hear you have kids... ANYWAY!

Garnet Weddings Ltd, my beautiful alternative styled business, kept my identity alive. I poured my little metalhead ALTERNATIVE heart into my business. I poured my love for Gothic and Emo, the Nerdy and all in between. I don't know what I would be without it. Through my business I have met some absolutely incredible human beings who I adore as supplier friends but as just regular people doing their best in life too. I've had the priviledge to plan wonderful weddings and to pour my creativity to styled photoshoots to bring you timeless, alternative wedding inspiration.

What you see here at Garnet Weddings Ltd is ME! Raw, unfiltered, untamed, perfectly imperfect in a world that seems to want to stay "perfect" all the time. You get authenticity and genuine care for couples and suppliers as people with real feelings and dreams. Not just numbers.

You may not find a perfect Instagram grid or a post every single day. That's not me. I'm busy planning amazing weddings while looking after a young family and keeping things REAL.

If you want authenticity, alternative style and someone who really listens to your ideas then you're well and truly in the right place!

DOLL TREND, but without AI

There was a recent doll trend online. I wanted to support a real artist and asked to create a doll me with my everyday items like my lovely Monstera plant, COFFEE, laptop for all my wedding planning and a notebook.

Caitlin smashed it! I love my doll me very much 😍

A Day in the life of a wedding planner
For unconventional couples:

Forget about putting up a front to match with social media when your love is unique—my world is full of black and colourful dresses, skull centrepieces, and entertainment beyond a Connect 4 match. 💀🤘

From 8am I start coffee-fuelled mornings making sure our little boys are entertained, fed and feeling loved and safe.
Around noon whilst the littles sleep I have my calls with suppliers and couples.
Evenings are where the real magic of planning happens. Sharing ideas, summarising wedding details and checking on progress. I don't work a 9-5 day so I am open for messages/calls in the evenings too!

Today? I have dedicated the day for calls to my fellow wedding suppliers working with me on the June and July weddings this year. Gathering important information like set up timelines for the weddings. 📞

Earlier this week? Shopping, but with eyes open for wedding related items such as LED candles, floral arrangements, lanterns and unique decor that would match the wedding themes I work on - no two days are ever the same here at Garnet Weddings Ltd! 🛍
