Hot on the heels of our special guest announcement to our eagerly awaited ‘Christmas Cracker’ 2026 at The Parkgate Hotel on Friday 11th December.

We are delighted to announce that tickets will be available on Friday 22nd May from midday.

Joining us will be former heavyweight boxer Tony Bellew, former Liverpool and England footballer John Barnes MBE, Nigel Owens MBE along with our host for the day Scott Quinnell.

A really sad day to hear of the passing of former Wales & British Lions centre Arthur Lewis.

A true working class hero from his beloved Crumlin Rugby Football Club.

Known as ‘The Man of Steel’, ‘Aisher’ will be sorely missed by so many.

Our best wishes go out to Kath and all his family at this time.

A wonderful man.

Arthur was a massive figure in the rugby world not only for ourselves but for Crosskeys, Ebbw Vale, Wales & British Lions. We as a club and community send Kath and family all our love at this difficult time.

We are delighted to announce that the hugely popular former international rugby union referee Nigel Ref Owens MBE will be joining us at our eagerly awaited 2026 Christmas Cracker.

Tragic news of the loss of a true rugby legend.

Our thoughts go out to all of Scott’s family at this difficult time.

RIP Scott.

The rugby world is mourning the loss of a true legend, Scott Hastings, who passed away peacefully this Sunday after a courageous battle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

The news is deeply poignant: Scott left us on what would have been the 62nd birthday of his beloved late wife, Jenny. Jenny tragically took her own life in 2024 after a long struggle with depression.

Despite his own health decline following his 2022 cancer diagnosis, Scott showed incredible devotion, frequently returning to swim at Wardie Bay, the site of Jenny's disappearance, to quietly reflect on her memory.

Scott’s legacy on the pitch—65 Scotland caps, the historic 1990 Grand Slam, and his status as a British & Irish Lion—is immense. But the quiet strength and love he demonstrated in his final years is the true measure of the man.

Our hearts go out to his children, Corey and Kerry-Anne, as tributes pour in from around the globe. Rest in peace, Scott. A wonderful man, reunited with woman he loved so much 💔

The date available is on the evening of Friday 13th November. A warm-up to the big game the following day when Wales play NZ In Cardiff.

As we draw a line under the first half of 2026.

We look back at some great memories starting with Welsh manager Craig Bellamy, along with an epic Six Nations with Warren Gatland, CBE, Jim Hamilton and Rory Lawson.

Throw in for small measure - we welcomed the iconic figure that is Dan Carter, ONZM for a one off event at The Vale Resort.

Moving forward, we again bring some brand new faces to The Events Room with debuts for the ever popular Phil Tufnell, along with one of Wales’ greatest - the legendary cyclist Geraint Thomas, OBE.
