The lawn plinth deserved its own spot on the feed. A real labour of love and a reminder that no matter how you plan, things can go the other way.
I’d imagined this as one of three, with meticulously planned mechanics and seamless edges. But the shipment arrived over 24 hours late, just 40 minutes before it needed to be installed. The lawn was dry and crumbling in places, damp and dying in others.
Still this fuzzy little cube came to life and I love it for what it is, a bit more rugged and botched than planned. I swear this job is about 80% problem solving, the other 20% is making the problems look intentional.
Still learning, still experimenting and very grateful for jobs that allow such creative freedom. I’d love to take the idea further, push it bigger and see what happens when we give it the space it deserves.
It would still be an idea in my brain without Love Me Tender Florals shout ouTTTTT.
