June in the garden is looking wonderfully promising.
The gooseberry bushes are laden with fruit, the roses are putting on a spectacular show, and the summer beauties in pots are just beginning to shine.
We've been spending more time back in the garden recently. The rain has certainly worked its magic, bringing a burst of growth to both the flowers and the weeds! There has been plenty of tying back, deadheading, and tending to do, but mostly we've been enjoying noticing the ever-changing blooms, colours, and fragrances.
There is never a dull moment in the garden. Every day brings something new to discover, and it continues to surprise and delight us with the beauty of the season. πŸŒΉπŸƒβœ¨
We have a lot of visitors this week so every minute counts, nature doesn’t stand still for anyone !

🌸 One of my favourite workshops is our Pressed Flower Workshop, where we gather treasures from nature, carefully press them, and later transform them into a beautiful piece of botanical art.
It's a wonderfully calm and creative experience that often brings back memories of childhood β€” collecting flowers, tucking them between sheets of blotting paper and the pages of heavy books. A simple method that works just as beautifully today as it did then.
In Part 2 of the workshop, we'll eagerly open our presses to reveal the preserved blooms and create a unique artwork to cherish and treasure for years to come.
A gentle celebration of nature, creativity, and slowing down. 🌿✨

Imagine returning from the church to a marquee entrance overflowing with the beauty and fragrance of the season. 🌿
Field grown roses, delphiniums, Canturbury bells, larkspur and other freshly cut blooms are gathered in soft pastel tones to create a romantic, natural welcome. Arranged around the marquee entrance in a relaxed garden style, the flowers offer guests the feeling of stepping into an enchanting English country garden.
Beautifully scented, effortlessly elegant, and completely seasonal β€” the perfect way to welcome your guests and begin the celebrations. πŸ’•βœ¨The day began a little damp but the sun shone brightly as the day progressed for Caitlin & George 6.6.26β˜€οΈ

🌱🌸 Out in the field, the season is in full swing. While we're still harvesting armfuls of beautiful stems, we're also busy clearing out spring crops and making way for summer's abundance.
This week we said a final farewell to our ranunculus. Once the plants have finished flowering, we carefully lift and store many of the claws, ready to be replanted and enjoyed again next year.
With the old crops cleared, it's time to prepare the beds for their next chapter. We use a broad fork to gently open up the soil, add a fresh layer of organic matter, then lay irrigation lines and membrane ready for planting. A good watering before and after planting helps give everything the best possible start.
Yesterday was a big planting day, with over 400 Scabiosa 'Scoop' plants going into the ground in a wonderful mix of varieties. The final job will be adding support wires, and then all that's left is to nurture them through the summer and look forward to what we hope will be a bumper crop of blooms.
There's always a lot happening behind the scenes on a flower farm, and this is one of those weeks where we're harvesting one season while planting the next. 🌿✨

Always a pleasure to share the day with the floristry department from Doncaster College . As many of the students are about to set out on their journey as florists we enjoyed sharing our journey and hope that they will love their flowery life as much as we do .

My absolute pleasure to be part of Stamford Flower Club's 70th-year celebrations.
A stage filled with our field-grown stems, every one lovingly nurtured here at Floral Media. Seasonal, sustainable splendour at its finest.
I received such a wonderful warm welcome from so many flowery friends on my biggest stage yet. I truly felt like a floral film star! ⭐
Thank you to everyone who made the occasion so special. What a joy to celebrate this remarkable milestone together

A beautiful wedding entrance designed to welcome guests and create a lasting memory. Created using a reusable framework of moss and chicken wire, our field-grown stems framed the entrance for a new bride and groom as they began their journey together.
Seasonal roses, sweet williams, and sweet peas filled the air with the most wonderful fragrance, adding a touch of romance and natural beauty to the day.
Wishing C & G every happiness as they start this exciting new chapter together. ❀️

There's always something special about seeing our field-grown stems adorning wedding tables. Simple bowls filled with seasonal blooms brought colour, fragrance, and joy to the celebration, creating a natural and beautiful atmosphere for their special day.
Congratulations to the happy couple, and thank you for letting us be a part of such a wonderful occasion. ✨
