If you’re looking for a toastmaster for your wedding or event, but you prefer the idea of me wearing a black dress (like this one) then please do ask.

The red tail coat always gets so many compliments! (Guests really love it!) But it’s your wedding day and I want you to feel happy with every aspect and that includes being happy with what I’m wearing 😊

The way I behave is the same - I’m friendly, approachable and organised in both attire. I am not a ‘shouty’ toastmaster even when wearing the red!

My beautiful Nanna deserves a spot on the grid,
she’ll be 99 this year! My wonderful Grandad passed away a few years ago.

My Nanna knew a dress maker who was willing to make a wedding dress for her if she was able to provide the material. Rationing was still happening at this time so relatives and neighbours saved up their clothing coupons to use to buy the material ❤️

On the wedding day, my Nanna got ready in her family home (terrace house in London) and the neighbours lined the street to wave her off 😍

August 2025, E&C held their wedding day at the beautiful Chewton Glen and guests were wowed all day by incredibly talented performers of all different styles!

As a massive Lion King fan, this performance was a very special one for me 😍

Thank you to for not only creating the most memorable experience for E&C and their guests, but for us suppliers too! It’s something I will never forget ❤️

There were LOTS of suppliers involved in bringing this amazing day to life (too many to mention here), but a big thanks in particular to Melanie and Georgia for recommending me when E&C asked for a toastmaster! It was such a blast 🤩

My personal opinion is that children are wonderful at weddings … IF the wedding is child friendly.

When I got married, we invited 5 children who were close family. We asked friends to please arrange childcare if they could (with a year’s notice).

Our wedding was relatively ‘adult’ in the fact we had a 4 course sit down meal, quite a few speeches and lots of candles. Being totally honest, I didn’t want a child friendly wedding, I didn’t want to have to worry about entertainment and crèches. I wanted everyone there until midnight instead of having to put children down to bed and I wanted guests to enjoy lots of bubbly! And that’s ok! You’re allowed to decide what you want for your wedding (of course within reason 🤪)

As a toastmaster, I see lots of wonderful child friendly weddings of all different types. I’ve worked at a wedding before with more children than adults! The couple wanted their wedding to be full of littles ones and they did a fantastic job accommodating them so that everyone had the best time.

The difficulty comes when you have an ‘adult’ wedding with lots of children present who you hope will just ‘fit in’.

So my advice is … firstly establish how you envision your wedding day. Do you hate the thought of children knee sliding on the dance floor? Or do you love the idea!?

Be clear as a couple which way you want to go and if you’re inviting more than 5/6 children, be accommodating and creative with how best to make your day more child friendly.
