What can I say about me... well I started cooking when I was very young, in fact I think I first learnt to cook rice and dhal when I was about 6 in miniature clay pots someone bought me as a gift, on a fire in the garden. Both my parents were Dutch Sri Lankan and both were prolific cooks. Not a day went by without one or other of them cooking up something experimental or traditional (and of course

spending a lot of time telling the other one what they could do better!). I have long held a dream of starting a food business but it was not until late last year that I found myself in the position of being able to do so and it took quite some months of thought and encouragement to get here. The name "The Curry Pincher" is derived from the Sri Lankan word for curry leaves, "Karapincha". My food is personal to me, and I'm really looking forward to sharing that with you.

Friday 27th June; The Pendle Witch, Sabden

Saturday 28th June; Pendle Festival of Culture, Nelson (we’re outside Althams)

Thursday 24th July; Whalley Wine Bar, Whalley (ticketed event)

Saturday August 2nd; Pendle Heritage Centre, Barrowford. 1st birthday feast (ticketed event)
