Margam Country Park Commercial Officer & Barrio Fiesta sa Wales Organisers

With the Margam Country Park Management recently met with the organisers to explore opportunities for partnership and cultural celebration within the park’s historic grounds.
The Margam Country Park could support the growing Filipino community event, which has become one of Wales’ most vibrant annual cultural gatherings.

During the meeting, both parties highlighted shared goals:
- Promoting cultural diversity within Neath Port Talbot and the wider South Wales region
- Supporting community-led events that bring families together
- Showcasing Margam Country Park as a welcoming venue for multicultural festivals
- Encouraging tourism and local economic activity through large-scale cultural events

The organisers presented the vision for the next Barrio Fiesta sa Wales, emphasising its family-friendly atmosphere, traditional Filipino food and music, and its role in strengthening community ties. It expresses enthusiasm about the potential collaboration, noting that Margam Country Park is committed to hosting events that reflect the diversity and creativity of Wales’ communities.

During the St Davids day parade our passionate, enthusiastic Filipino Community participated in the Feast of the St Davids day walk around the city of Cardiff and it ended in the iconic historical Cardiff Castle. (1st March 2026)🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇵🇭
