I’m a big softee when it comes to horses, especially Friesian’s, the black ones you sometimes see pulling very ornate funeral carriages. So I had to go and have a little chat to the mighty fine specimens that came to Stoneman Funeral Service open day yesterday.
Along with a number of other lovely suppliers, the Stoneman team and Bruce the house dog made everyone who visited feel very welcome. Everyone was fed (those cheeses straws 😍)and watered and got to ask as many questions about funerals, plans and memorials they wanted. No question to silly or subject off limits. They were, truly, open about everything.
We really don’t talk about death or our funeral wishes enough in this country and I think it’s a shame.
Next time they open their doors, pop along. I’m sure most people would find it interesting and reassuring to meet with such a warm, knowledgable and approachable team of people.
And it’s always good to have a cuddle with Bruce too 💕
