We love living and working sustainably in the Highlands, using the best local food and serving it with the best Highland Hospitality whilst supporting the community we live in. Based near the City of Inverness in the Highlands of Scotland, Good Highland Food was established in 2003 by accomplished chef Mike Crook. Mike’s attention to detail, flair and versatility has seen Good Highland Food garner

a loyal following of regular clients who praise him for his diverse repertoire of culinary styles, his passion for fresh, local, seasonal produce and his charm and poise front of house. Good Highland Food draws from a strong portfolio of experienced professional waiting staff and chefs to cater larger events and functions. Whatever the function, Good Highland Food can do as much, or as little, as you want – from full event hosting to bar service, or simply delivering a hamper of ready-to-cook (or reheat) dishes to your holiday cottage.

Absolutely delighted to have been named Highland Businesswoman of the Year 2026.

My name might be on the award, but there’s no Good Highland Food without Mike! We’ve built this business together, and I’m incredibly proud of how it continues to grow while staying true to what matters to us: Highland food, local producers, local stories and the very best of Highland hospitality.

And the biggest thank you to our amazing team, our Good Highland Food family ❤️ You’re the ones who make it all happen!

I’m absolutely delighted to have been named Highland Businesswoman of the Year 2026.

Although my name might be on the award, there’s absolutely no way I could do what I do without Mike. We’ve built Good Highland Food together over many years and I’m incredibly proud of how the business has grown while still holding on to what has always mattered to us: great Highland food, local producers, local stories and the very best of Highland hospitality.

And the biggest thank you has to go to our brilliant team, our Good Highland Food family. They work incredibly hard, behind the scenes, helping to make it all happen.

And to our wonderful customers, some of whom have been with us for many years, thank you for choosing us, recommending us and trusting us to be part of so many special occasions.

Feeling very lucky, very grateful and very proud of what we have all built together. ❤️

Back where it all began. ❤️

This weekend, we found ourselves in the heart of the Cairngorms — the place that first inspired Good Highland Food more than 20 years ago.

Mike was exactly where he loves to be: behind the BBQ, cooking for a wonderful local family and catching up with familiar faces along the way. It really did feel like coming home.

A quick stop at the Old Post Office Cafe Gallery on the journey back was the perfect finish to the day: local food, great coffee, sunshine, and the warmest Highland welcome. ☕️✨

More than two decades on, we still feel incredibly lucky to do what we love, in the places and with the people who inspired us from the very beginning.

This weekend took us back to where Good Highland Food first began, right in the heart of the Cairngorms 🥰

Mike was in his happy place behind the BBQ, cooking for a lovely local family in the community where our journey started over 20 years ago. It felt a bit like coming home.

On the way back, there had to be an obligatory stop to catch up with our friends at the Old Post Office Cafe Gallery. The sun was shining, the food was local, the coffee was great, and the welcome was as warm as ever. 😍

It’s days like these that remind us what the Highlands are all about!

We feel incredibly lucky that, more than 20 years on, we’re still doing what we love in the places and with the people who inspired Good Highland Food in the first place. ❤️

We had a great day catering for the models and crew on a fashion photo and film shoot at Ardverikie.

The weather threw everything at us including showers and dramatic skies! It reminded us why the Highlands are such an incredible location for film and photography.

We were delighted to keep everyone well fed with Good Highland Food, using quality local produce.
