Which is your favourite? 👉🏼

This is the collage that birthed the idea of starting . I made it at the first festival I went to after lockdown restrictions were lifted - because everyone was quite sketchy about COVID still it was a weird vibe so we didn't have a heavy one which meant we were up early to do a collage workshop. I found the experience so peaceful, the quiet sound of ripping paper and gentle chatter was the most soothed my nervous system has ever been at a festival 😅 I knew I wanted to do something like this when I started my own businesses. Two years later, I did! ✂️

We have a mixture of artists and amateurs who come to . I personally like creating surreal smaller pieces, often with words as I love word play. I also quite like collaging ideas and feelings, or simply cutting out interesting squares and organising them in rows. It's so therapeutic to do something with your hands and let your mind wander 🫶🏼💭

💥 1 week today! 💥 Monday 24th August is Nice Moon 🌜' last Summer Play Day at The Old Coastguard ☀️ We will have lots of water play, painting and messy play - it's recommended you bring them in clothes you don't mind them getting mucky and a change of clothes to go home in! There are also small world and role play toys, building blocks, stepping stones and bubbles! 🫧 These new dino/ dragons were a HUGE hit last time 🐲🐲

It's free to attend for customers of the Coasties, so no need to book, simply turn up and the kids can play while grown ups enjoy a coffee in peace. The Crab Shack will be serving drinks and pastries from 10 and lunch from midday. If the weather is a bit mizzly like today we will still go ahead so don't let it put you off it you need to get the kids out of the house for a bit, it's the perfect place ❤️

👉🏼 Swipe through this amazing work in progress by Linus Firth. Linus and his lovely gang have been back at and he's kindly allowed me to share this collage he's working on ✂️ It isn't finished yet but I love a behind the scenes to understand an artist's process.

is for all abilities. Collage is an incredibly accessible art form - if you can use a pair of scissors, you can do it! I got into it because I find drawing and painting really hard 😅 The possibilities are endless, and people really get into it and create the coolest stuff 😎

The next one is Tuesday 25th August at The Lugger Inn. Spaces are limited so please do book in advance if you know you want to be there. It's usually quieter over summer but the August session is booking up so don't miss out ✂️✂️✂️

Did you see Nice Moon 🌜 page in the summer issue of Geddon PZ? 🌞

It's about the benefits of free play (sometimes called 'child-led play) and how to facilitate it with your children. I kept forgetting to prioritise Nice Moon 🌜 when getting the magazine to print so I am making an effort to give myself a full page in each issue now 😅 and advertising in really works, our last session at The Old Coastguard was so busy! 🫧

Thanks to everyone who joined us to play at The Old Coastguard today! We had bubbles, paint, loads of water play, role play, small world toys, footballs and stepping stones. Everyone played so beautifully, lots of sharing and I even had some little tidy up helpers 🥹 as well as my lovely mum! Thank you! 🩵

I hardly ever get photos when it's busy as it's too tricky to work out who everyone belongs too! 😂 So here are some snaps from my friends of their little ones 🥰

PS. This is Ro, his mum says sorry if he upset anyone, he was very hot and overstimulated. But isn't he CUTE?!

PPS. Who did I think I was buying a WHITE rug? 😂 Or getting white t-shirts 😂😂
