☀️ HOT WEATHER REMINDER ☀️

We hope all of our families have enjoyed the lovely bank holiday weekend and we wish all of our wonderful half-term children a lovely week off 💛

With the warm weather expected to continue over the coming days, please can we kindly ask that children come to nursery prepared for the heat so they can stay safe, cool and comfortable throughout the day.

Please ensure your child brings:

☀️ A sun hat
☀️ Suitable lightweight clothing
☀️ A labelled water bottle/baby drinking cup
☀️ Spare cool clothing

Please also apply sun cream before arriving at nursery each morning. Staff will continue to reapply sun cream throughout the day in line with our nursery procedures and parental permissions.

At nursery we will be:

💧 Encouraging regular drinks throughout the day
🌳 Providing shaded outdoor play where possible☀️
☀️ Limiting direct sun exposure during the hottest parts of the day
💛 Supporting children to stay cool and comfortable

If your child requires a specific sun cream due to sensitive skin or allergies, please ensure this is clearly labelled with their name and that staff are informed both in person and via email.

Working on our physical skills🥰🥰

We had so much fun jumping on the bouncy castle, climbing up the softplay stairs,down the slide, joining in with a small balancing obstacle course, riding our bikes and dancing.

Physical activity is essential for children's overall growth and development. It significantly boosts cardiovascular and bone health, enhances cognitive function and academic performance, and improves mental well-being by reducing stress and anxiety. Regular movement also builds fundamental social skills and confidence.

We have loved our walk this morning to the park in the sunshine🌞🌞

We took a picnic lunch along with some teddies to have a teddy bears picnic in the park🥰

🐸 Watching the tadpole life cycle has been such an exciting experience in our setting!

The children have been fascinated seeing the tiny eggs turn into wriggly tadpoles with long tails. Each day brings new curiosity, questions, and lots of excitement as they check on them and notice the changes.

Now we’re patiently waiting for the next stage… watching their arms and legs begin to grow! 🌱
