Allen & Son are here to support Baby Loss Awareness Week (9–15 October).

Having personal experience of this himself, James knows how devastating this can be, and would welcome anyone to meet with him, just for an informal chat, and to let you know that you are not alone.

You may wish to join the Wave of Light, by lighting a candle at 7pm on Thursday 15th October, in memory of all the babies who are loved and never forgotten.

We feel that with all the advertising on TV & radio, people may think that national companies are the only option for an unattended cremation.

We can and will support any families who wish to have a simple, unattended cremation for their loved one, whilst keeping them safely in our care at our premises in Moreton-in-Marsh.

All arrangements are handled with a personal face-to-face discussion, whether that be at our office or in your own home, and your loved one is looked after with the care and dignity they deserve.

We bring the sad news that Julia Edwards, of Mickleton, passed away suddenly on the 18th September 2026, aged 68 years.
An adored wife, mother & grandmother, she will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

Julia's funeral service will take place at St Michael & All Angels Church, Guiting Power, on Tuesday 13th October at 1:30pm.

More than half of people feel that playing a loved one's favourite music is what gives a funeral it's true meaning (my Nan was a practical joker, and always laughing, so chose "Always Look On The Bright Side of Life" to be played as we left the church!)

We bring the sad news that Frank McPhilimey, of Bourton-on-the-Water, passed away on the 2nd September 2026, aged 84 years.
He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Frank's funeral service will be held at St Lawrence Church, Bourton-on-the-Water on Friday 25th September at 12:00pm.

We wanted to say a huge thank-you to everyone who came in to see us yesterday at our coffee morning.

It was a lovely day and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves chatting, eating cakes, and trying their luck on the tombola and raffle. We heard many people say "I haven't seen you in ages", which is so nice that they got to catch up with old friends, and make some new ones too.

And, of course, all of the generous donations you made came to an incredible £525.00 for Cotswold Friends - THANK YOU!!!

All of the raffle winners have been notified and happily collected their prizes.
